Radio Preset Menu not saving as default consistently.

Hello all.
Occasionally when I start the car, the radio defaults to my selected satellite station. In the instrument cluster, you can choose which mode you want, and I select the "Preset" category so I can quickly switch between the stations I want to listen to. However, sometimes the car keeps that selection, and sometimes it doesn't (which can be frustrating when it resets and I have to reselect the mode I want).
Is there a reason it resets like this and can I fix it so it doesn't? It seems more likely to happen if the car had been off for 24 hours, but sometimes it resets in a few minutes, or doesn't reset after 2 days. Very inconsistent!

So out of interest is it changing during the off period or the engine start. If you select the ignition on without starting the car does it still lose the selected station? Might be worth trying for a week or so to see if it's actually happening during the engine start. If that's the case then check the battery connections. I see it's a new car so the battery should be fine. Basic advise from me but it's....FREE

It's not that it's losing a station. The Mode Select button on the steering wheel cycles through various radio modes (FM, AM, Sattelite, etc) and includes one called "Presets", which is based on favorites selected in the infotainment screen. Sometimes, the car will start with Presets selected (i.e. Last selected station), and other times will revert to Sattelite radio.
The other day, it went like this:
After sitting for ~36 hours, it returned to Sattelite. I drove for 5 minutes, selecting Presets via mode button, then turned off the car for about 10 minutes. Upon starting, it continued with Preset. Drove for about an hour, then turned the car off for 5 minutes, started and moved the car a few feet, then turned off again for about an hour. Upon restart, Preset was still selected. Drove for an hour, stopped for about 30 minutes. Started again, and it reverted to Sattelite. Switched it back to Presets, drove for another hour. Stopped for 3 hours, got back in, Presets was still set.
Parked for 16 hours, drove to and from gas station and store (about 90 minutes total trip), and it maintained Preset.

As you can see, it's very inconsistent for reverting to Sattelite or maintaining Preset through a shut off. Time while off doesn't seem to affect it.

But I see what you're saying. Accessory Start first, see if it's still on Preset, start the car, and see if it changes back after engine start.

After several days of testing, the setting is still inconsistent, though recently has more frequently defaulted to SAT instead of staying on PRESET through shutdowns. I also tested before/after engine start (i.e. accessory start as suggested) and the setting is changed while the engine is off; it doesn't change when the car is started. This isn't a battery thing, because every other setting is kept through shutdown.

I've poured over the manual and scoured the system settings. The only thing I can do it select which tabs are selectable with the Mode button, but deleting everything but Preset doesn't fix the issue.
