anyone else feel like the car is slower with e40 vs 93? Da is 7400 in vegas with outside temps 98-110*

You are running the multimap with flexfuel or the actual E30 or E50 map?

If you don't have a sensor installed with multimap, you are running a 91/93 map with ethanol in the car with no way of the DME knowing that. Which would be not good.

The non-multimap E30 or E50 maps are scaled correctly to use E30 or E50. No sensor needed.

Did you log at all?

Have you confirmed that it is working correctly? Can you see your ethanol % via the app and/or tach?

Do you have a log?

yes it shows the ethanol content , currently its at exactly 40% , last week it was at 27% , added more e85 and left it add 40% , it works..

Ill do a pull over the weekend and log it . I think what is happening is that at E40% its pushing more timing and more boost , where as on 93 tune it has more room for the IAts to keep it consistent .. just a theory. Current outside temps in Las Vegas is 110 at the high...

TLDR - Listen to razorlab ? look at your logs and compare.

I made the same jump from BM3 Stage 2 93 -> BM3 Stage 2 (E50) multimap + BM3 flexfuel kit.
It does feel slower at slower speeds but big difference at the top end.
Raced friend's BM3 Stage 2 93, passed him at ~140mph ?

My IATs have been similar for both OTS.
Ran stock airbox + brake duct reroute for both.
(Reverted back from aftermarket, saw 10-25F improvement)

I did experience infinitely better timing corrections.
Stage 2 93 = -5 to -1.5 and random infrequent small knock (my local shop was not amused)
Stage 2 E50 Multimap = 0 (I did also started to spray a little WMI)
This is what made the upgrade worth it for me, it really does help me sleep at night.
I am not saying the Stage 2 93 is bad, just my car didnt like the 93 I was putting in.

Both my logs, 93 and E50 were the same boost, maxing out at ~21-23psi.
Which is more or less the limit of the stock turbo:
22-24 psi is fine on the stock turbo. It's just blowing hot air after that. Not great on anything, and unnecessary boost pressure.

I read somewhere that you can't effectively run past e30 without a solution to fuel volume. The car runs of course. But the car asks for more juice at the top end and doesn't get it. Basically your trading high end performance for the low end. Might give you a feeling of it being less fast if you really ring her out. Maybe short shift a bit and see if you can get back into a sweet spot? Or spend some bucks on an intake manifold with DP bungs, injectors etc.. to get you fuel level you need.

Not true. I run E40 with 28-29psi out the top. 100% OEM fuel system.

Looks like you might have a boost leak. The 93 log is running more boost and and closer to boost target for less WGDC. The first 3 logs are dropping to 20psi and much further from boost target with more WGDC.

Here in the zona there was a big difference between driving when it was 80-90 then 100+. Even now at night it’s noticeable. More power will raise the IAT’s I see upwards of 150 pulling after 15 minutes of driving. That will pull timing crazy.

hmmm..Ill have to check! thanks

I will do a run later with e30 map and see if the issue is the MULTI MAP .. It just seems extremely coincidental that it felt like crap right after I went to the E-40 tune which leads me to believe I don't think it can be a leak… But you never know I will fill up the rest with 91 today and they should push it down to E 30

Not familiar with BM3 as I have MHD, but you are in map slot 3 with e40 and 91 was map slot one. If your running flex fuel I would assume it should be the same map slot?
