SoCal Dealer for Service

Hello,

I will be taking my car in for her first oil change and I wanted to see if anyone can recommend a good dealer for service.

I am in the Torrance area.

If you're locked and you get free oil changes, I say go to whichever dealer is convenient for you. Longo is my personal favorite, but that's convenient for me.

If you're unlocked, I say go to a specialty shop. You have lots of options in your area. Build a relationship with them and trust their work.

He was referring to your ECU. if you have unlocked/FEMTO'd you should avoid dealers as any update flashes will relock your ECU.

Hey Mike, I'm in Torrance and my name's Mike too ? I had my last two freebie oil changes done at Manhattan Beach Toyota. I had a generally good experience there, even asked them to save some of my engine oil for lab testing, they did exactly as I requested, car had no extra milage on it, came back as dropped off.

Only thing that is a bummer is my experience regarding getting my navigation set up, as the dealer I bought the car from didnt do it. I asked them to prepare for this before I brought the car in, and they didn't. So I will have to bring the car back at some point to do that and there is a DCM module update apparently out for the car, maybe do that on same visit.

I already made an appointment at Carson Toyota. I'll keep an eye on my odo and my dash cam. I'm hoping everything goes smoothly. Yea man, I would be down to meet up. I have only seen 1 Supra since getting my car and that was 2 months ago lol.
