Registered this account just to say, thank you so much man!

Been waiting with a local dealer, twiddling my thumbs since Nov 2022 - I never expected to see my spec to show up unspoken for in Canada like this, let alone be lucky enough to spot it in time.

In the end, Chris helped me out. I'm not sure if Brent was either busy or not in this morning, I couldn't reach him. It sounded like things were pretty busy today though.

If all the arrangements work out smoothly, I'll be sure to report back.
You are most welcome. I’m glad I could make a fellow car enthusiasts dream come true. I’m sure the sales person you got will be good, they do seem to have a good sales staff and finance people. I’ll let Brent know he missed out on you for a client but I’m sure he’ll be happy that someone from his store earned your business. Keep us posted on the progress and of course pictures if and when you pick it up.

cheers

Shoutout to Johnny once again, she is home safe and sound, and looking beautiful.

She's in need of a wash though, and I just found out that the wash bay here is out of service, so here are a few pictures from the journey instead.

Looks fantastic bud. Glad you made it back safe and sound. Must be nice to also have the break in done by the time you made it back home from the drive. May it give you years of driving joy and happiness. Cheers brother

Seeing as I helped a member find a blue manual Supra a few months ago, figured I would post another one here on the east coast, Saint John New Brunswick to be exact, they have two white 2025’s on their lot, one is auto and discounted in this ad, and the other is manual at MSRP. If you end up buying from them just give me a shout out on the forum with a picture of your new Supra.

cheers

Looks like there's a lot more supply now for us in Canada. For those in the GTAs, there's these two available. When I was cross shopping last year, I was told it's mostly manuals now. Almost 8 to 2 (Autos).

Montreal is dropping the prices on them as well.

Good to know that gone are the days of paying over MSRP :)

FYI not sure about the montreal dealers. this 2025 red one has been "in stock" since late 2024. I inquired about it last year. paid a deposit over the phone. when I went to sign the paper, as soon as I said I wouldn't be financing thru toyota 6.99% at the time, the manager immediately said the car was sold that morning and returned my desposit.
obviously it is still sitting on the lot.

last month the Markville dealer also played games with add-ons when I asked about it (maybe now the market is really bad and they will play ball?). I ended buying from toyota on the park with no fuss.

Thanks for the info!
It's a buyer's market right now, overpriced days are done and over with.

First time ever that I've had a dealer slash a price over the phone, I wonder how much more they'll slash in person.

well with all the snow we have been getting in toronto no doubt people are not looking at a 2 seat sportcar low to the ground. but dealers will always be scummy. just watch out for a deal that is too good to be real... I had an option to buy a discounted 2024 vs a 2025 at MRSP. I went with the 2025 with delivery miles of <20 km.

What was wrong with the 2024?

There was a grey one sitting in Penticton, BC for $69.9K plus taxes and fees, best priced one I've seen by far. It didn't last long, sold last Friday.

My dealer forced me to finance at some ridiculous rate in April of 2023, I went to the bank the next day and paid the loan off in full. I believe that the dealer gets a kick-back from the bank if the customer pays their monthly finance payment for at least 6 months.

If you buy a MY24 once MY25s are out, you're essentially taking a year's hit in depreciation.
Yeah, that's a given, but he said it was discounted. Unless it's a crappy discount.

nothing is wrong other than depreciation.
the discounted 2024 had been sitting in the show room for I assumed a few months with a few hundred km on it.
The 2025 I got was fresh off the boat. I guess I just wanted a brand new one.
