I had a $3000 deposit on an Emira, but after a year of being glued to two Lotus forums and seeing regular reports of quality and reliability issues, I pulled my deposit. With Lotus gearshift being scarce in the US, the thought of having a new Emira towed 80 miles, or waiting for the dealership to do the same and waiting for parts to arrive were nails in the coffin.
I love the look, but the GR Supra is faster and also very rare at half the cost. I've owned a very glitchy, problematic Corvette, and the fun of driving was always overshadowed by that next check engine light, diff leak, or component failure. I certainly wish you the best of luck and hope that a dealership is close.

Maybe just a bad time. Considering lowering the asking price but I did specify that it is negotiable.

I'd love to sell it direct to someone who will enjoy it but come May/June it's going to be gone one way or another. Then the dealer is gonna end up taking their piece of the pie.

shocking that prices have came down drastically in last 6 months while inventory new /used has is also down. With all market everything sells quickly when priced right. I’m guessing privately a fair price would be around 50K. There’s no positive returns on Mods/ppf and i gotta say this car can be a bitch at times without driver assist with that giant blind spot.
when I was shopping, I didn’t bother looking at any without the driver assist.
easiest way to sell is get price offer from carvana/carmax and sell it for 2 grand over there offer to private. If your gonna trade, may as well sell it to dealer for tax benefit.

Yea that's pretty much the plan. I already got an estimate from the dealer of around $50k so with the tax benefit on the trade it's not bad. Which is why I'm not bending over backwards to sell privately with all the headaches that can bring. If someone wants to counter offer with something lower I'd certainly consider it, but I'm not pressed.

Regarding the visibility out of this car though I personally feel that issue is overblown. If you set up your mirrors properly and turn your head like we used to you can see everything without issue. People are spoiled these days. Lol

The yellow Supras will typically sell for the least of all the other colors because it’s not as in demand as your typical base colors. (Just a larger audience willing to accept a standard color for example white / grey / black) Not that it’s not as desirable of a car it’s just the number of buyers in the game per color choice so dealers mark them down to try to move them faster. With less buyers looking specifically for a yellow it takes longer to sell them for the true value that’s all. GLWS

Yup this is true. That's also why the yellow manual trans Supras are even more rare than the a-91 special editions. Most buyers aren't interested but for those that want yellow MT it is a very very hard spec to find.
