Hello all,

Hoping someone can help here.
I understand there are two auto leveling sensors (driver side front and rear).

Visually, the sensors look okay (backwards 7s standing upright. Brackets don’t look broken, but is there something else I should be looking for here? I’m totally lost on why my headlights aren’t leveling. They’re pointed directly downward. All light functions work.

Any knowledge or suggestions on this would be extremely helpful thank you very much.

attached front sensor picture. I can’t get a picture of the rear at the moment but upon inspection all looked good.

Thank you in advance.

Is this a new issue or do you know if anyone was messing around with the headlights? That level sensor should only be adjusting the angle of the lights depending on how the suspension is loaded as far as I'm aware.

With that being said, if those lights are pointing down as far as they can then the headlights themselves will need adjustment and has nothing to do with the sensors

this is a new issue. The sensor was replaced. I’m on stock ride height as well so no lowering impacts which have been discussed on the forums. I find it odd that the cars not throwing a code for this issue either as others have mentioned chassis errors relevant to the sensor.

I’ve tried adjusting the headlights from the areas underneath the hood but the beam is moving neither up or down despite countless efforts.
FYI I’ve also had this checked by BMW and Toyota dealerships and they didn’t have a solution other than replacing the sensor which has been done (I know dealerships can’t be trusted at times) hence why I’m taking a look myself.

Can you reset the sensors in ISTA / Protools? I know it can be done by flashing back to a factory VO in protools (I had my sensors coded out and then put back in when goofing with settings).
