In the last year I had to get my injectors replaced on my 135 which was like 4k+, break pad sensors was about 200, water pump was a few hundred. You're lucky nothings broken down yet.
You’ve never replaced tires on a 8 year old car? That is a lot more than $200. I had to replace a water pump on a 5 year old 335i and that was more than $1000 alone.
There's no way tires amount to $3300 in year 4 and $3900 in year 5 per Edmunds. I have some crazy rare tires on my M40i (my mistake for going with 21" wheels) and even those aren't that nuts.
When did I say tires were $3300 per year? The fact that you said your maintenance costs were no more than $200 per year on a 8 year old car shows that your claim is unrealistic.
I never said you said tires were $3300 a year. I am saying that the Edmunds costs in year 4 and year 5 are clearly *not* tires, both because of the prices ($3300-3900) and because of it happening back to back two years in a row. It should be obvious from my previous posts.
Both local BMW dealers here in SE Virginia are about the same price range for service. For reference, we typically pay $60-80 for an oil change and tire rotation on our Honda and GMC. BMW is more in the $120-150 range for the same thing.
So how is oil change, air filter, and brake fluid less than $200 at a BMW dealer? Your prices make no sense.
