didn’t that guy just got his first baby? You would think he’s at home with his girls. Nope. He’s breaking records at random places.
???

Yeah she was born May 1st.

This baby has 10 titles associated with her. 4 from Max, 3 from Grandpa Nelson Piquet, and as fate would have it, she was born on the day of Senna's death, 3 titles.

She is destined to be the first female F1 Champion ?

The car had the verstappen.com sponsor decal and was wrapped in a red bull livery, so not the best way to disguise his participation.

this.

and I think anyone of us would be a jerk with the engineers and the crews if things are not being perfect. Is a high stress job. I’d be cursing all through the weekend.
Exactly, when Lewis went from winning all those championships and things didn’t go the way he was use to, a bar was set and not being met. Of course he was upset and lashing out at things that people perceive as “crying”. Max last year and this year on the radio is different then the years past. Again a bar was set, it’s not being met. He is bringing up the things that are wrong in a way people that don’t care for him call”crying” . Vettel was the same they all are. You have an expectation and it’s not being met you “whine” about it. after Monaco I’m really hoping things get back to being exciting again.

Damn I love that guy!!!!! Hope he moves out of F1 at his pinnacle & not pull a Hamilton. Would love to see him at Sebring someday or other series dominating ?

Totally agree. I‘m really disappointed in Red Bull. At least my perception was they were the standard for pit stops, strategy and such. They haven’t been the same since Horner (porner) gate. Max has to be frustrated as hell. I thought Jos was being a dick (pun intended) about it, but guess he was right. How distracting it turned out to be and how quickly that team started loosing their composure & believe in being the best. Now it seems to be Mercedes and McLaren are the standard for pit stops (the basics) and possibly even strategy. ?

Anyone think Max might still go to Mercedes and George over to RB as a result? Newey or not, I wouldn’t trust Aston Martin and the possibly of having Lance as a garage mate. That has to bring a team‘s moral down having the spoiled brat son in the drivers seat.

*(apologize if I’m sounding too harsh/Dutch - Danny is wearing off on me)* ?

I don't see that happening for 2026. Why would George leave while his team is improving and RB is proving that nobody but Max can drive their beast of a car? Both teams and drivers need to see how good their new 2026 (new rules) cars will be first. I don't see George leaving Mercedes yet... maybe in 2 or 3 years.

It might not be up to George. If Max decides to switch to Mercedes, they will drop George immediately.

I feel for George, he's one of the best drivers out there at the moment and is absolutely WDC material... but suspect Kimi is the golden boy, and as you say - George would sacrificied to get Max. (Although I think if Max leaves RB it will be to go to Aston Martin, or to leave F1)

I agree. Honda, Newey, and other key personnel are at Aston Martin just waiting for Max to show up.

I lost a lot of respect after what George pulled in Qatar last year. Now he's a whiney little bitch behind the scenes apparently, and that all came out then.

I love Antonelli. I just think he's fantastic. He looks like, and talks like Valentino Rossi. And he certainly drives really well. He is a future WDC no doubt.

George has always been a whiney little bitch ?

Seriously, lets face it, they're all whiny while driving!

If Max leaves Red Bull, it will be to leave F1. There is no way he could tolerate driving around in the mid-pack for Aston Martin. Newey will help them in time, and Honda MAY help, but it will take 2 to 3 years. And Max would go absolutely crazy racing mid-pack by 10 races into season one!

With regards to Max and where he might choose to go. It certainly seems the only three options for him are to stay at RB, or go to Aston Martin or Mercedes.

I tend to think RB still has the upper hand in retaining him, but it seems to be narrowing after every race that he isn't winning.

I feel like RB started their downward trajectory to start last season with the drama with Horner. That drove a massive wedge between the team and some key personal. Every team loses people every year, that's nothing out of the ordinary, but it did seem like RB lost some rather key people, Newey being the big one, but also some of their key pit crew people (leadership of them more so than the actual people doing the pit stops), and I'm sure other key people. That seems to have impacted both the teams ability to improve their car and the pit stops and strategy has taken a step back.

Let's think about this logically, if Max is to leave RB which of the two options would be better to join?

Aston Martin has the money and Newey, but I don't really see much else that is overly appealing. Sure they will be using Honda power units, and the only one's on the grid doing so, but that's more of an unknown to me than anything else. He'd likely be paired with Alonso, which is okay and certainly a step up from who he has driven next to the last couple of seasons, but he's a bit long in the tooth and I'm not sure when we can expect a step back from Alonso.

With Mercedes you have a team that has a lot of championship experience, their power units seem to be trending in a very good direction for next season (likely the best of the bunch), and either driver would be a good pairing next to Max I think. More than likely it would be Kimi, just because it's easier to get him to accept a number 2 role and he is already glued to Max off the grid. Leadership seems solid and it's not like they won't spend the money to be the best either.

If I was Max and I wasn't going back to RB, Mercedes seems like the better bet for success next season. Aston has potential for sure, but it's completely unknown at this point.

I don't expect George Russel to sign an extension at Mercedes until Max has made up his mind on next season. If Max does jump ship to Mercedes, then this whole drama starts over again with George and if he will join RB or Aston, in that case it would be a tough choice for George I'd say.

I'd like to see Max racing outside of the Redbull umbrella; the mark of a true great has always been WDC with multiple teams.
