Hi folks,

I just need some advice, and the short version of a long story is I ended up being supplied with a non premium model after ordering the premium version.

After deciding to keep the car, I still want the heated seats, but my car has the base seats and obviously no dash buttons as there are no seat heaters.

I found some premium seats (heated) that I would purchase if I can confirm that the car already has the the same loom etc for the seats? Base model wiring same as premium under the seats/body loom?

Meaning could I just install premium seats in my non premium, then purchase the button, install and use something like bimmer code or some other software to code the seats?

or…… I’m guessing it’s not that easy. However o know a lot of manufacturers just leave premium options out but a lot of the wiring etc and lol s are still the same .

You'll need a better tool than Bimmercode, as you'll need to edit the vehicle order to include the heated seats option.

It basically tells the car "hey dude, you have heated seats. You can start acting like it."
This can be done with esys, protool, bimmertool, etc.

Some additional coding may need to he done afterwards, which can be done using bimmercode.

My base model seats are heated! Best seat for the car IMO. Premium guys get the fancy stereo and cruise control and all that. Gimme the good seats.

Not all Supras in all regions were spec'd with heated seats.
Here's JPs base model for example:

Cloth seats, non heated, and no CF trim.

Now really blow their minds and tell them that EU Supras have been 2 port this whole time.
(still patiently waiting for the NEW Pure800 2 Port version)

Thanks for all the feedback and help!
At least I know it’s possible and might enquire with a renowned supra tuner then to have it done.
Just to really blow you mind, mine is a base model euro spec, manual 6 port (and a map!) ??
