About to install my downpipe. Is it inevitable that I will get a check engine light once installed, or are there any tips that can ensure that it doesn’t happen?
the manufacturer gave a suggestion card that gives a sequence that is supposed to keep it from happening, but I’m not entirely convinced that it won’t happen.
thank you in advance

Doesn't active autowerke have a no cel guarantee or it gets replaced under warranty?
Just turn off that stupid burble bullshit these genZ idiots are running, and you'll be fine.

I don't call it burbles. I call it my "USE A PULL-OFF YOU TWAT" t00n.

We've sold many, few have come on but usually there is a simple solution. Just follow directions well, tighten everything and should be good, these new generation cats are solid.

Why would you want to turn off the best part of the exhaust? 😄

Because you've spent $1,400 on a downpipe when you could've just ignored an insignificant light on a dashboard and used a $300 catless instead........... and we get it, your car has loud popsNbangs. The whole neighborhood already knows, along with whoever's trying to sleep at 1am.

best part of the exhaust? 😄
Correction, this is the best part of the exhaust

I bought/installed the new in house made AA down pipe and threw the code within 100 miles of installed. Did reset through OB and still threw code. I contacted AA and drove to their facility where they removed my DP and swap some part than reinstalled. Never threw a code since. I’m sure all DP after mine has the new part now. They are a small family business, I’m sure if anything goes south they will take care of you.
