Oh...and just for the record, when I say I am not a Nissan fanboy, I mean it:

Yes, that is my 1991 300ZX 2JZ project. So you see, I could careless what badge a car wears, or how big of a spoiler it has....if it's drive-train is CAPABLE, then I respect it regardless of it's brand. The 300ZX looks great, the 2JZ is bulletproof....what more could I ask for.

And yes, if the FT-1 won't be a performer, I will get an R35 GTR....not because it's Nissan, but because it will be CAPABLE.

I literally cant drive my Supra without getting insane amounts of comments on the way it looks. how "beautiful" or "sexy" it is. I have friends in my group of car guys that have FD's, 300zxs' R32's and R33's. The only other one that gets close to the amounts of comments based on looks alone is the FD.

The supra is a beautiful car in many peoples eyes and I have heard those exact words. This is a "timeless" design. Personally I Think the FD holds the title for most beautiful timeless 90's JDM
Agreed, though i think the FC looks better as of late

It's also heavy, whereas the MKV will be about 2900lbs

To each their own. I think the MK4 looks fu*king sweet. I love how you pass off your opinions as fact; so I guess I'll do the same. Lol putting your dated looking 300ZX with the the FD and NSX.
While I do agree that it doesn't look as good as the other cars being discussed; to be fair the Z32 did hit the market a few years earlier than rest of the pack.

To lighten things up I found something that makes the R35 look sexy.

If we can get back on topic now, I have only heard good things about the B58. That it is a huge improvement over the N55. I recall on other forums that people were easily making around 550hp+ with just basic performance upgrade and tuning.

It’s a drastic improvement in terms of smoothness and efficiency....but I believe from what I’ve read on BMW forums, the B58 won’t be as durable due to it’s modular design. There was a good post on one of the BMW forums that had N54, N55, and B58 rods and pistons next to each other. It was evident the potential durability concerns with the newer gens. Another thing, BMW hasn’t really had a stellar record with oem main bearings in any of their motors in say the last....15yrs?

Generally B engines ( B58 , B48 etc) copied the N engine and improved it ,see better emissions, power etc . The difference is that the N as i recall was open deck as opposed to closed deck of the B , i think and correct me if i am wrong here but this was done for durability . Take Ford focus RS for example that has the 2.3 ecoboost engine , it fails very often because of the open deck design . The mustang have to use different head for the same engine i think to be reliable. Regardless of what BMW does though i believe because toyota is the king of reliability , toyota wouldn't want a problematic engine to the toyota halo car . I am saying this because i am watching this car being tested for a very long time already and in all climates with many miles . Also keep in mind that z4 will come out 1 year earlier than the toyota version , which could mean that any potential problems could be resolved when toyota car shows up.

I have only seen the FB once
I have seen a few at the local RX7 meets. The majority of them were FDs though. Its funny how the prices on these things have sky rocketed in recent years.
