I have a JB4 installed with a Dp, I usually clear my CEL every other day, what I noticed is the car loses power when I do that, for the past week, I havnt cleared the cat CEL, and boy does the car feel stronger.Unchecking that "oem/catted downpipe" box simply re-enables the logic check for the rear cat efficiency. Basically undoes what the tune had programmed to deal with the CAT cels.
Car should run the same even with CELI have a JB4 installed with a Dp, I usually clear my CEL every other day, what I noticed is the car loses power when I do that, for the past week, I havnt cleared the cat CEL, and boy does the car feel stronger.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but clearing the CEL seems to reset the fuel curve from the DME auto learn, right?
Indeed agreed.Car should run the same even with CEL
deleting the code makes no changes to the ECU adaptive memory. It simply resets the Drive cycles to have the emissions monitors be ready, What you're feeling is pretty much placebo. If you were resetting adaptations, then i would say yes, that will effect it. But youre just deleting a code.I have a JB4 installed with a Dp, I usually clear my CEL every other day, what I noticed is the car loses power when I do that, for the past week, I havnt cleared the cat CEL, and boy does the car feel stronger.

Thanks for the response it's probably paranoia then . I need to hit a dyno asap.deleting the code makes no changes to the ECU adaptive memory.
