No. You will actually have power loss without any sort of tune. I have the Armytrix DP w/ Sim. No CEL after 2700+ miles. It hasn't failed me yet. But the powerband on the car is a little funny now since there is no back pressure.

Go into the settings of whatever your playing music from and make sure you don't have something along the lines of a LOUDNESS NORMALIZATION turned on. This will cause music to be a lot quieter than usual.

There are about 3 new kits that I know of that haven't been officially announced on their way. 1 is top mount and 1 is bottom mount. The other has started development and I'm pretty sure it will be top mount. They will all be more expensive than this solution.
