Genuinely not being sarcastic, but reading them, they seem to apply only to FS posts, not a WTB. Am I missing something? Again, not trying to be sarcastic, I'm literally asking if I'm missing the rules for WTB posts, in case I need to put one up myself one day.
Wiring wouldn't be effected whatsoever, it's literally just designing a cap that replaces the factory push button start cap that fits into the ignition switch and has the proper font/color/graphic.
Definitely a good resource to see how removal/install goes, but based on the way that button looks, I don't think there's a GR branded replacement that fits, I'd have to have it printed, but I have no idea how to add the font/coloring/logo.
Edit: The only GR logo buttons I can find are on...
I really want to replace the factory engine start/stop button with a GR logo one, but I can't seem to find an aftermarket option, surprisingly. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to make one of these covers?
Edit: 3D printing one wouldn't be an issue, but the real problem is applying...
I took delivery of it in February, so its been off the boat for quite some time. Do you think you might be able to still dig up some information though? I'll PM you the Vin if so. I appreciate it!
I wouldn't mindl I've used the toyota tracker already though, and its long since stopped providing information about my car. Do you have another way to go about it?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to build a complete "story" of how my car got to me so to speak. I took delivery at the beginning of February, but I can't seem to find any way to look up what vessel it was on, when it was made, etc. The toyota tracker website long stopped working (it didnt' even show...
My issue was I bought the car without having driven one. I didn't have a choice because there wasn't a shot in hell of finding a manual transmission one sitting on the lot without a markup that a dealer would let me just take out.
So I had to take a 'leap of faith' so to speak, and bought the...
My reaction precisely. I don't dislike it, but I don't know how to feel otherwise, it's a yes/no for me, but I wouldn't do it. If OP likes it then that's all that matters I suppose.
I've tried to keep my responses in this thread based on logic rather than pure emotion, but either way I think the end goal of this thread is that for those that are truly unsure of which model to go with, objectively looking at what you are wanting in the car and going from there is probably...
I wouldn't go so far to use the word "every" in your post, personally. I think that may be a bit overzealous. For the life of me though I can't remember where I read it, but it did perform better than people were expecting. In my previous post I didn't say that it was faster than the ZF 8 speed...
I can't seem to find the source, but I remember reading an article in the past few months that the manual cars actually performed better than they were forecasted to in comparison to the 8 speed counterparts. Not saying they performed better, but better than they were expecting them to.
Either...
Yeah, that's likely what it is if I had to guess, I can't imagine the car would leave itself unlocked if it sensed it was off and the driver walked away. I figured it would lock eventually. But regardless, I'm just going to leave the key in the car.
I also completely forgot I can unlock it...
Tbh I actually think the GR86 is a great looking car for the price. Had there been a complete, quality turbo kit for one, I might have opted for one instead.
But back to my original point, do what makes you happy, but as others have said, you are going to run into issues with repairs...
Do you have the ability to put my vin in by any chance and see what comes up when you search it? I'm just curious, building a scrapbook of sorts of my cars journey, and I think that would be really cool to add to it.
Really interesting people are having this issue. My car has (so far) been completely trouble free, including with the e-brake. Has anyone tried to isolate this to a potential range of build dates?
The market for buyers in terms of Supras, GR86's, Z's, etc is not great because the availability isn't there. I know this is easier said than done, but my recommendation is to find a dealer in your area that doesn't charge a markup or forced add-on's.
I called around every dealer in my area...
Every reason not to buy that car is listed in those crash photos.
I understand wanting to save money and get one at a good price, but this is the absolute worst way to do it. You have no warranty, and no idea what else could be wrong with this car or what could become wrong with it down the...
I'm actually annoyed Toyota didn't offer things like adaptive cruise and launch control on the 6MT. I obviously don't need those, and it wasn't a deal breaker seeing as how I bought a 6MT, but its the principle of the thing; The car has it, and other manual cars have it, why not just leave it...
yeah its surprising to me that it doesn't automatically lock, but I'm not complaining that I now have two options that I know of to ensure my battery isn't dead afterwards.
