If they even agree to refund me, my only local option is to go pure900. A pure800 would take 8-10 weeks. Don't think that's a great option either for a mid 700whp time attack build
Thanks @Z4m40i and @kern417 that's some good info in there.
First things I first need to take the turbo out and inspect the state of the wastegate.
DAW reached out and said they're going to need up to 4 weeks to ship my turbo out. Sigh. I wish they'd indicate that somewhere on the product...
Not sure if you're referencing something specific with with that argument comment or in general? But in case it's something about me, as far as I'm concerned I genuinely appreciate the input I get. I don't see myself arguing with anyone on that front. I might debate, but there's no harm in that...
I can play that game too.....my pure turbo exploded so i bought a different brand turbo. Sounds better this way.
On a serious note though, i don't think it's the turbo's fault. I mean it could be, but it's one of 2 things:
1- defective turbo
2- tune related.
Either way i didn't specifically...
General update:
So it seems the turbo shit the bed again. The fix either didn't work, or whatever was causing the issue is still persistent. At this point i'm quite upset at all of this, because i'm spending more time chasing my tail than moving forward. Doesn't help that i've failed to log...
I haven't no, but now i will. Not really an area i know too much about. Also, the plan wasn't to powder coat but to paint. Reason being is that these are new calipers, and i don't want to disassemble them at this point, which i'd have to. Paint is less durable, but it much easier to touch up...
Both the HGK and RKP offer pretty decent weight savings over the stock roof. Around 8lbs or so. I believe though that only the RKP let's you reuse the headliner form those 2.
I'd assume the Seibon would en somewhat similar from a weight savings perspective, no?
Looks like everything started to come together the evening before race day, thanks in large part to the shop. New OEM parts got painted. Vents back onto the new hood, including the new CF 777 one.
Cooling plate got a clear cat
Are was still a bit messy here, but that do88 intake is...
Cost effective? Those are very far from cost effective. I have nice expensive CF vents, but if you want something cost effective, you get something like these:

Edit: no idea why I read that as "cost effective"
Car is coming along nicely as far as repairs go. Tight schedule though since the next race is on the 30th. And even if we get things done on time, will be going in without having tested the rebuilt transmission, the properly repaired turbo using the parts pure sent me, and the new coilovers...
