I have a bit of Porsche PTSD because of how many GT3 RS MRs there are here at the track, and how fast they are. i think the best way i can put is that it's basically faster than the new C8 ZR1. Of course the comparison tests you'll see online are of the non MR version, which i get because the MR...
As good as that looks I don't think I'm willing to give up window functionality just yet
Do it. You'd be the only player in the market. May not be a biggest pond, but you'd be the only fish in it.
Door card. Door pull strap cutout. Relocate existing door handle mechanism and window switches.
They don't make standalone door cards. The ones they have work with their doors. HGK only make full on race stuff, so they're not meant to accommodate the window mechanism/switches for example.
Most other popular platforms have plenty of options, and the A90 has none.
Here's one of the many...
Took quite a bit longer than that to get my (new gen Pure800). 7 weeks to ship, and another week to get to me. But even a month, in the middle of the race season, was longer than I was hoping to wait to get a replacement turbo. That's a few races (and track days too).
I was OK with Pure taking...
They really rubbed me the wrong way. Its crazy that they don't understand the impact their behavior has on their business. I've already talked one person out of getting one of their turbos. They really don't give a crap out their customers, or their own reputation.
Let's recap:
1 - no mention...
Can't believe how hard it is to find proper aftermarket door cards for the A90. Yes i know i can make my own, but that's really not my thing.
Speed Engineering used to sell nice CF ones, but they no longer due because their supplier jacked up the prices. Was a nice piece that also allowed you...
I'm def settled on 295 right now, considering i have a wheel that can support the width, and a 295 is just going to be faster. Bryan i remember you being a bit iffy on whether my other wheels (10.5") were wide enough for 295s, which i thought were fine tbh, but the 11s are def a great fit.
I...
I guess it depends on your use case. If you have an aftermarket manifold (aluminum, great conducor), it does turn into a bit of a heatsink because it's going to absorb heat from the engine head.
In the real world though whether a spacer helps i think comes down to what you would want it for...
I do have a tiny bit more stretch than before. Went from 295/30 on an 18x10.5 to a 295/30 on a 18x11.
So are you essentially recommending running 275/35 on an 18x11 wheel? That's a lot of stretch, no? I'd also be worried about giving up, well, tire.
A 295/35 is heavy ass tire, and that would...
I find it fascinating how much much preference is baked into these things.
I'm all about front end feel. The S2000 has spolied me forever in that regard. Also need to offset going to a much wider tire in the front. 295.
