Totally understand what you mean. I think the long gearing just makes it worse. Do enjoy the intake noise and gearshift though.
it needs the 4.0L motor but that’s quite abit more in price.
Hi OP, glad you’re ok.
I’d probably get another Supra MT.
If you don’t want the same thing, it’ll be a F87 M2C or M2CS for me if it doesn’t have to be new.
I test drove the 981 GT4 3.8L and thought it felt slow. I think it needs a race track to show its magic. I’m that sense I think the 718...
Ok, so after a fair bit of consideration, I made an appointment with the Toyota sales rep and handed over my credit card for a 2023 Supra manual.
I was leaning more towards the M2C because of the S55 engine as it's supposedly an M engine as opposed to the B58. But as the saying goes, 'First...
I think you're right. I'm considering the 718 base cayman manual partly because of the rave reviews it's got and I might be a bit swayed in that sense. Although I've not driven a base cayman and I don't think it's bad in any way, I don't think I would be happy with the 4 cylinder motor...
Agree on the chassis, shifter, brakes and suspension. Just felt it could do with more torque and doesn't rev up as fast as I would like. You are probably right. The GT4/GTS 4.0L might be the one to seriously consider. Have you driven your friend's 718 GT4?
I don't actually need backseats as I...
So it's not just me then. I think it will shine much brighter on a track/open road. I think I might like the 718 GT4 might be much better with the 4.0L motor.
I'm surprised the gearing felt long even with a PDK, and the low end felt gutless considering it's gotta a modern 4 cylinder turbo motor with a pretty low kerb weight.
I was definitely considering the F87 M2C and might have gotten it if a good example came about at the right price. Power...
I might be part of a minority here, or maybe the one I sampled wasn't in the greatest shape. It frankly wasn't as good as I expected. At least not on the stretch of road that I tried it on. Being NA, I know it won't punch like a Supra, but it really felt a little slow.
I can't stretch for 718...
Hi everyone,
At the moment I have a 2021 Honda Civic Type R and I love everything about it. The chassis, the gearbox, the engine, the control weights are all spot on. I struggle to find a car that does everything better in a package within this price range.
That said, I can't help wanting a...
It's anything but cool (pun intended) with year round temperatures of 25 to 33 degrees, only dropping to a cooler 22 to 29 towards the end of the year. :D
Do drop over if you're around the south east asian region. Will be happy to take you out for a beer!
I wonder if the take up rates are not...
Can I also confirm the 2023 UK/Europe spec cars run the B58TU with the 2 port head as well? Essentially the same engine as the 2019-2020 cars globally?
Hello guys, any other information or confirmation so far regarding the availability of a manual from Toyota UK direct?
I'm from Singapore and my dealer who has contacted her dealer in the UK and was told there are no more manuals within the dealership network.
Seems like a rather short...
Not sure I get what you mean. I'm asking main about UK spec cars.
I've seen a Supra's cluster. The speed read out is on the left where the 3000rpm mark is on the tacho. So that can be switched to read in km/h for UK spec cars yeah?
Hello chaps,
I'm not a Supra owner yet, so I can't explore the instrument cluster.
Is there a way to select the speed read out? Km/h instead of Mph?
Thanks in advance.
