Toyota and bmw will certainly not keep the 21’s at port until the 20’s are sold. Who is telling you this?
As it currently stands, the plants have closed for two weeks. It may be longer but so far, I believe it’s just the two weeks. So the 21’s will be delayed a couple of weeks.
Production has...
Doesn’t work that way and fortunately it doesn’t. Toyota has been averaging around 300 sold Supras a month. With currently 1400 around, it would be 5 months before the 2021’s. I’m wondering if Toyota even has control over the production amount.
They’ll be here in June or July IMO.
That's not bad. Means they are taking $4k off from the dealership side. And their LE is $52k. It's crazy how much the value of these cars have dropped in the past 6 months.
My local dealership has been sitting on 4 premiums for months now. They can't sell them and are willing to let them go...
Sorry to hear man. I had found a new red LE the other day for $4500 under msrp. Looks like there is still around 75 new LE's available.
I think the "I'm First" clout type youtubers, really caused the over hype that occurred. They don't mind paying $10k over because they will make money off...
I had Matt at Take Flight Performance (TFP) tune my Evo X. I am not sure if he is tuning Supras, but he did a great job on my Evo.
Speaking from my personal experience, stay away from JMS. I still don't understand how Jorge is still in business.
Considering the $2k dealer incentive, I think $49k is probably as low as they can go. They’ll probably just make a small profit on the documentation fee. Maybe a couple hundred left on the car. If a dealership goes any lower right now, they’ll probably need to make it on trade, finance, extended...
I'd argue that it's the opposite. Toyota needs to worry about clearing out some Supras, and worry less about their more popular vehicles.
These numbers are just a rough estimate and based on prior corona quarter one sales:
Camry
Quarter 1 sales: 77,000
Average monthly sales: 25,667

Texas dealerships are some of the worst. They are always trying to screw you over anyway they can. Especially if you live in the large areas like SA, DFW, Austin, Houston. I would just buy out of state. Don't even bother with the TX dealerships.
The hidden dealership incentive increased from $1k to $2k. Probably explains why they are offering to take off $1k more without haggling. They wouldn't be losing that extra $1k since they will get it from Toyota.
That's what I am holding out on. Let these units sit. I seriously doubt Toyota will even sell 200 units a month right now. With those sales numbers, Toyota is currently sitting on around 7 months of inventory.
Give it a couple more months. It will be a great time to buy for future owners...
They are not taking $7k off. They are just manipulating the overall numbers, to make it look like they are taking $7k off. If you approached them without a trade and with your own financing, they would probably only take $4k off.
My local dealerships has 4 and is willing to take $7k off. But they are kind of lowballing my trade by $2k. And they are getting a $1k kickback from Toyota. SO really, they are taking around $4k off. I'm just going to wait. Probably wait until the 2021's hit the lot.
I understand the "no test drive" in a way. People who buy these type of cars, want the miles to be low. It was kind of the same when I bought my Evo. It was also the same way when I bought my Type R. But most the Honda dealerships will have none or one Type R at a time.
When I bought my...
