I contacted that dealership to find out the details. They are a rip. They are advertising $3100-$3200 off. But then they are turning around and adding back on $1800-2500 in forced "dealer accessories."
A lot of dealerships are advertising and selling at invoice pricing ($3-4k off). Not sure on the legality in Toyota's eyes, but many dealerships are doing it.
That dealership has 10 in stock. If Toyota doesn't want the dealership to take that much money off or advertise at that price...
Autotrader and Cars will only show 1000+ listings. If you search with cargurus, you will see 1600+ new 2020's. I quit looking at used at this point. All I find is like you said; Either private party sellers trying to recoup from overpaying, or dealerships trying to sell a used one at msrp...
I agree about the next best thing, but it's not like it's mid summer time and the next MY is 8-10 months away. It's March and the MY21's should be on lots in June. Seem's like if anything, you will have even more leverage on a 2020 at that time. Or negotiate $3-4k off on a 2021, that will...
I think one of the biggest factors, has been dealer addon and the treatment from these Toyota dealerships. We all know there was a pretty big initial hype when the Supra was released in July. IMO, a lot of the people paying the markup were the youtubers, or the ones that had financial gain off...
Hopefully Toyota starts offering rebates or special interest financing. If they don't, the dealerships will need to take a loss to move the leftover inventory. I don't see why anyone would buy a leftover 2020, when they will probably be able to get a 2021 for $3-4k off as well.
I live in Oklahoma. One of our local dealerships is trying to sell theirs for $3500 off. They have 4 in stock. We have a couple other local dealerships who are asking for msrp. But, they have had their cars for 83, 42, 59, 227, 80, and 53 days. Personally if I were them, I would look at...
I think the biggest variable will be when owners purchased theirs. Months ago, $1k under msrp, was a pretty decent price. Now though, if you aren't getting at least $3-4k off (or more), you aren't really getting a good price.
Mind sending me a copy of the buyers agreement, blocking out your personal information? I could really use it to help me get that price.
I'm in Oklahoma, but recently moved from Texas. Usually in Texas, they wrap the sales tax into the purchase and the otd price. And Texas sales tax is like...
