  1. Can Toyota ban you for placing multiple deposits with dealers?

Just giving a *confirmed* on this. I was in 23rd position when I placed my deposit and was 3rd only 4 months later when I found mine out of state. Cedar park absolute rips thru cars. Everything is MSRP and deposits are completely refundable. Great experience even tho I ended up grabbing one...

  7. 2021 A91 Refraction Blue - Austin, TX

Just curious is this the refraction I see around Temple every so often? Beautiful ride and GL on sale.
  8. Is our paint to soft?

Ppf will protect your finish astronomically more than an extra mil of clear. You even bastardized your own claim by pointing out that a “decent sized rock” would do damage. And you’re correct. Meanwhile it’s protected your hood from an untold number of smaller impacts that would otherwise...

You couldn’t be more wrong if you tried.
  10. Is our paint to soft?

  11. Is our paint to soft?

Lead is decades old. Manufacturers have been shooting water based since the 80’s due to government regulations on VOCs. Body shops began adopting water based paint within the last decade. We made the switch from solvent based to water in 2015. Paint is applied thinner now for many reasons...

  13. Is a rebuilt 3.0 worth it for $35K?

Just don’t do it. You don’t need that drama in your life man. -an idiot who rebuilt a lot of totals over the years.
  14. Track your Supra Status

Mine went dark like this when waiting for vessel and while on the ship. Once it hit port stateside it popped back up on the tracker and Toyota inventory website. I asked the dealer and was basically told “we have no clue”. They could still see it when they looked it up on Dealer Daily, but...
  15. Jacking the Car for Spacers

I strongly recommend grabbing a low pro jack from harbor freight if you’re even slightly uncomfortable using the scissor jack. They are handy and far safer. Can pull the handles off and store under a toolbox or whatever so it’s not taking up space in the garage.

Just a bump for the great service provided by Josh @Meraki Autoworks
  17. local dealer quoted $1500 for alignment!?

This just blows my mind. I worked in shops for 15 years, and worked on everything that rolled in. If something did baffle me, I’d from the book and go sit in the break room for a bit and read up. It doesn’t matter if it’s a Honda civic or a Porsche gt3, the information is out there, and aside...
  18. Rec’s while installing coilovers - prep for track

just looking for some advice from those who have been here already. Getting ready to install a set of coilovers. Curious if those who already track these have any recommendations for additional items that need addressed while I have it up in the air and torn down. Light track use for HPDE...
  19. Jim bagan toyota sold me a scratched up supra!

So since no one else is really helping, the picture with the paint looks like trash was cleaned out of the paint and they did a poor job with buff. This was extremely likely performed at the factory and it’s VERY common. There’s a reason Paint Correction is a standard process for high value...
