I wonder if the run flat tires are more prone to felt imbalance. I'm thoroughly disgusted with lack of buy in to solving the problem by 2 local Toyota dealer service depts. One tech makes a bad call and the customer is left to resolve it on his own.

I think its all a tire issue and how the suspension transmits road/ tire feel. I'm not done yet, still have road pressure tire balancing to do. Ultimately I might replace tires but that's a last resort.

Update- just had an alignment and front tire dismount and rebalance ( conventional, not road force) . The original issue is 90% gone. All this was complicated by some sloppy work- mixup of remounting wrong tire on wrong wheel front to back by powdercoating company. So, bottom line it's much...

Resonance is a great description. "Road steering resonance" even a better one.

That's the sensation I'm describing. Try it at 75 mph on the smoothest road surface you can find, see if it's most noticeable there. If Toyota refuses to acknowledge this is a driveability issue then I'll fix it on my dime.

No, that's set at minimum and vibration is present regardless of lane position.
