I ended up doing 35% rear hatch, and 70% on the side windows. I'm glad I did..... During the day the rear is good and the sides have a hint of tint and almost a shine. Once the sun sets.... They look perfect while still offering some privacy. I glad I didn't go darker.

I used the wiretap..... But yes it's always on power 12v. I just set the radar to auto off. I read somewhere there is a way on my detector to also have it power off if no movement is detected for 30 minutes.
