If you want good gas mileage you have to do as car guy11 said. Keep it in normal and automatic, Cruise control really helps cause it's to easy and fun to smash the the go pedal down. Have to keep the rpm's below 2500.

If a battery is overcharged it will fail prematurely. If a battery is undercharged it will fail prematurely. Our batteries are AGM batteries. It would take me hours to fully explain battery charge state and charge stages. BMW does not design and manufacture batteries. The people that do this...

John, I understand what your saying. However the lower voltages are not normal for other 12volt vehicles. Are all BMW's like this?

I don't know how it works or what it does, Can the active rear suspension have anything to do with this? Will shutting off the the traction control help troubleshoot this? Never had active suspension on a car before. One of my motorcycles has it but its on two wheels, Much different:)
