I want to stay on stock turbo for now, running on AKI 92-93...probably 480hp max. Eventually around 600hp on (again) AKI 92-93, but that's quite a bit further down the track. I understand with hardware wise, anything over 500hp on 93 pump requires a bigger turbo, that's all I know for now.
Yes, because the tuner doesnât have to second guess what each map does on the oem dme and there are lots and lots of maps to go over.
i know Motec runs great on the GR Yaris and GR86 platformsâŠ.so willing to give it a look when it becomes available. Tuners I have seen much prefer that to...
I am definitely interested in this tune. Also waiting for Motec to release their M142 PnP.
After reading all the threads on aftermarket flash,, owners with unknown origin CEL, I will not go down that path.
You wrong, the GTi was exhaust modded n wanted to race.
At the end of the day, the GR86 is fast in the first 3 gears because of light weight, instant NA response and short gearings. It feels the rawest out of all the GR cars. The 2.4 is more gutsy than any Honda NA Type R engines apart from the...
Itâs all relative. The GR86 2.4 has strong torque, more torque than any NA Cars from Honda bar the NSX.
i have drag raced Mk6 Golf GTi, JCW Countryman and came out ahead.
Simple, the core honeycomb structure crumbles and blocked off the pathway. Doesn't matter it's 200 cells or 600 cells. The quality of the substrates is what we are talking here. In addition, the less cells there are, the weaker the core.
The tuning world has changed from say 20+ years ago...
You are making many incorrect assumptions here.
1. One of your car had a faulty cat and didn't cause any engine issues and you think it' going to be hunky-dory again on the B58? Was the cat on your old car located right beside the engine manifold like the B58? With a melted or clogged up cat...
A code is just a code, it doesnât dictate whether your cat will fail. Connecting a questionable quality catted DP to your engine is not smart at all. Might as well go catless.
Not uncommon on cheap ass cat or cheap ass catted dp.
The chesp ass substrate in the cheap ass cat melted from the high exhaust temp or from the unburnt fuel overheating the cat (tune, baby tune). In addition, the more burbles you running on your tune the more unburnt fuel getting dumped into...
Warned you before. The only thing 'Aussie' about this thing is the AUD you paid for. They may even be running this business from another country.
There is nearly zero engineering investment on drivetrain and exhaust components for the GR Supra in oz. This brand you have is just a rebrand of...
The other day I was walking down the street behind a bunch of teenagers and an A90 with a big wang drove by.
1st teenage goes âlook at thattttâ
2nd âshiiiittttâ
3rd âfar outâ
4th âitâs a mark v supraâ
They all kept on drooling until it disappeared in the horizon.
Nuff said
Good dad. Plenty of teenagers P platers in Sydney drving manuals GT86, BRZ, old GTi or WRX, VtecsâŠetc
Two 6 years old kid said during Christmas that they like the sounds and the look of my Supra.
Everytime I drove past some high schoolers, the word âSupraâ came calling out from one of them and...
A bit of over generalisation hereâŠmany young kids asked me to rev it and they got excited when they see the car or heard the vroom vroomâŠthe rev-head enthusiastic heart is still with some of the youngsters âŠit was never a large demographic even 2+ decades ago
Different state of tune.
G16E-GTS on the Corolla is pushing around 300hp on a 1.6.
Theoretically, a 3L or 3.2L I6 (G16E-GTS x 2) from Toyota will be pushing around 600 stock with 7 years drivetrain warranty. Plus you can tune it without sending to Femto.
Canât run this setup with stock suspension. Front wheel and tire will rub on the oem strut.
Get coilovers (must) and run 295/35 18 A052 or RE71RS. There is no point chasing more power and running high grip tires on this platform without sorting out the suspension first.
