I just took the thing off and wrapped it in white vinyl. it would look better if I could get a old version of the Toyota logo and get that in white. Considered getting a version made with the old script and use that. A 3D printer should do the trick.

I think I know what you’re talking about. It looks like a plastic film on my side mirrors. I tried taking it off when I put my wind buffer things on but it wouldn’t come off. I just figured it was some random design bit.
