Are you sure about this? Then why wouldnât Toyota show the US spec version as well? Makes no sense for them to show a US version in Europe to gauge feedback. If shown in Europe it should be what theyâd be getting in the near future. Oh well.. if logic was used we wonât even be in this scenario...
Lol. GTR isnât beautiful. Itâs a function over form car.. itâll beat the day lights out of any and all Super cars. This thing from BMW is just another option if you donât want to buy a FRS. Doesnât seem like there is a single great aspect of this upcoming Zupra.
Very much doubt any major changes to the car beyond what it is at the moment. Maybe some tweaks and thatâs pretty much all Iâd expect out of Toyota.
If the car felt under powered when comparing it to a euro spec Z4 (what MT drive during their prototype drive) then itâs very sad cause.. I see...
Whatâs confusing is...
Six months ago.. we heard the Supra will be a proper track car while the Z4 will be a GT car.
Then we heard the z4 is also a proper track car.
Now the Supra is a execellent road car while the Z4 is a track weapon.
They seemed to have switched souls. Tada has mentioned...
Wow.. so the Supra is less sporty than the Z4? This changes the whole outlook of the car. I thought the vice Versa would happen where BMW would need things to fix and not the Supra in terms of handling etc. sad
While I agree with you that it may end up the same way.. there are large differences between the two projects..
1) FRS/BRZ was an all JDM car.
2) It was a new name for the car even though they did reference the 86 in certain markets. It was mainly a new car that used the formula from the past...
@A70TTR ... so here are my thoughts.
Toyota is opening up the order banks this October to really gauge initial interest to justify to higher ups that they should do other variants of the car? I.e manual, race version etc.
What are your thoughts in opening up the order banks prior to even...
New Z is going to be killer competition for the upcoming Zupra. If they make it to the market before or first quarter of 2020 itâll be a great time to be alive. Hoping they do the right thing and keep it all JDM and not spoil the fun with the Germans etc.
I think if they take that Zupra with the camo to another show.. someone will shoot Toyota. Lol
Time to unveil the damn thing. Enough of this stupid camo
This render doesnât have the âtoyotaâ in the rear badge. That is in the real car and it makes it busy in that section. Without the âtoyotaâ I think itâll look clean as shown in the render. Easy fix though.
No worries.. whatâs intriguing is.. every previous gen Supra in Madrid was a manual. Not one was an auto. How come toyota decided to show all manual versions of previous gens and the reporters went out and they only had automatics to drive. Strange choice.
