Unfortunately you cant get a manual M340i in the UK an while they are great (my dad has one) it doesn't feel very "special". Just my humble opinion but going from the supra I think it would feel a little bland.
Sorry To wake this thread up from a year long slumber but im actually in the position to try something new and I've struggled quite a lot. I love my Supra but i need an extra 2 seats really and cant afford to have two cars simultaneously right now. Id also like a manual for some lower speed...
It turned out i had a small buckle on the offside rear wheel which was causing the vibration in the rear internal panels by the way. Got some new tyres and the fitter mentioned it so got the wheels refurbed and its all sorted now. Nice new colour too!
23rd of July is a Toyota (prioritising New and old Supra's) event at Caffeine & Machine. I think its simultaneous at all their locations but i will be going to "The Hill" if the weather isn't terrible. It starts at 5pm - Anyone interested?
Windows squeaking when going up and down like nails on a chalk board (needed new window seals and some sort of inner liner as it had perished). Top tip actually is to make sure you clean out the drain holes on the bottom of the door to prevent this if you live in very wet country. They are hard...
Im on 21000 miles with my 2020 3.0Ltr but its my only car so does everything from going to the Tip with a boot full of crap all the way to Caffeine & Machine. Cant say its been issue free but its a good car to do miles in.
Just in @Malcolm Feth's defence, the solution you are talking about having done is what the thread he linked you to in the first place is about unless ive misread what you intend to do.
My car has had it done and while its not an ASBO monster it makes a great noise with the windows down. Id...
Ive had the boot closure issue for a long time. As stated by J29DB03 windows down or door open stops it because its an air pressure issue. Once you close the door it forces the air to lift the hatch and its just enough for it to latch back down which is infuriating. One thing you can do is...
It is very sad that the dealers are unreliable. I guess i got lucky and the tech put some major time in to help (as shown in my guide post a few pages back). The Tech did say they can only claim time for a standard update when doing it under warranty which is close to an hour, they had my car...
You do need to make sure its a dealer that's at least GR certified. The dealer I go to isn't a GR centre but is one of the only ones in the area with a Supra Tech still on staff. If you are in the Birmingham area as your profile suggests i would recommend Stratford-Upon-Avon, They have always...
Just a tiny update: Touch wood & cross my fingers but the car has been flawless since the update. Ive done about 2000 miles since the updates previously mentioned and in cold conditions when it tended to be a little more temperamental with no hesitation at all. Id call this fixed!
Anyone else...
Just a small Update: Emerald Struts completely ignored me in regards to seeking there product to fit, not even "we dont want to help" type email.
Not used the car much due to a mixture of terrible weather and working from home so cant update on the effects of temperature on the struts at the...
