I’ve seen that “Emerald Struts” are all over my Facebook wall at the moment for their spring loaded boot struts but they don’t officially have one for the Supra. May be able to talk to them and find something that fits. Not sure if they are any good though.
Ive had the car for a few years now and not had the same issue before but it is -7 at the moment. Its just really annoying at the initial opening and defiantly takes more effort to extend the struts.
As this is a UK thread i was hoping for solutions that could be bought over here as much of the hardware is US only in that thread. Wasn't really looking for an "Auto" open either but i thank you for bringing my attention to it as some of the info can carry over.
Id not thought about...
Hello Gang!,
After a few years of having a ducktail spoiler on my car it seems to have developed an issue with the gas struts failing on the boot (trunk) lid. They are currently still working fine when helped up and keep the deck open but don't have the same vigour when lifting they used to...
This is a bit "Cat amongst Pigeons" but would you buy a new manual M2? I am tempted as i think prices will drop with them being so god forsakenly ugly and the history of BMW's usually means depreciation city. Could i love something so ugly though? Going from looking at the supra all day (which i...
Im sure you may not want to say so just ignore me if so, why are you selling? I figured from a previous conversation you were going to be holding on to it for quite some time?
Id say for my budget the Emira V6 is a little high right now, fresh off the praise from critics im not sure how long it will be before reality makes them attainable. Id love an Emira but id also be weary of the lotus reliability with their long standing reputation.
From a mustang perspective i...
Who is your finance with? The website for the company usually has a portal that you can access and it will just tell you the figure right off the bat for your initial calculations then you have to ask for the "formal figure" in writing so you can pass it on if you are getting a third party to...
Hello Forum Folk,
I'm not sure how well received this is going to be but I'm considering (probably early 2025 to get an ex demo with some juicy depreciation) a Mustang Dark Horse. I'm itching for a manual after just over two years in an Auto Supra (3 years by the time I probably switch). I don't...
I have quite a bit of experience with this and if you need any more advise just inbox me but:
If the contract has a purchase clause (you usually have to have ticked a box at the beginning of the contract) and paid something between ÂŁ1-10 extra for it you can buy out. I have never read a PCP with...
Its definitely not major, sometimes as little as ÂŁ10 if anything. If your insurer is fine with it they may not charge at all but it may go up on renewal. Would absolutely check with your current supplier.
Im a UK resident with a ducktail spoiler - its a minor uplift in cost but one thing to watch out for: Because it is a mod loads of insurers wont touch it so it takes some options away. Im with Admiral and they are fine with it but wont replace it if you get in an accident.
As a side note, The...
Its not turned all my systems to Z4/BMW but i think behind the scenes it must be, based off what he said. Its not something you can see outside the software number. Just to confirm it was done by Toyota at the dealership with BMW supplying the update and support.
I asked if it was a specific module and he said its a complete car update so all modules are raised. You could have potentially got an individual module updated when you went as the tech said on occasion with authorisation then can sometimes have an update for a single one that doesn't raise the...
My update & guide for anyone interested:
So as i previously mentioned, I went into Listers Stratford-Upon-Avon and spoke to their Supra tech Chris. I decided to go the official route and state the real issue. Obviously he couldn't recreate the issue as its so random but suggested due to my...
I think one of the reasons for the "excuses" is that the whole enthusiast crowd love to hate on autos which makes anyone who buys one feel they have to defend themselves against the inevitable onslaught of negativity. We are all fans of cars here so its a shame you feel you have to get what "the...
