I know Bryan right? Anyway now there is a hold on the rear bar and the next step will be to add the camber plates and eventually 200TW tires when the PSSs are toast. My impression may change as my lap times improve but let's see first.
Only front bar crew (2)
I thought I'd report back on the Eibach front sway bar. I was at Club Motorsports NH yesterday and spent the day lapping working on the line and driver with an instructor. The weather was great lots of grip not too hot. I'll start by saying my driving is improving steadily. Just getting back to...
I spent the day at Club Motor Sports working on the driver. I tested out the Eibach front sway bar (set middle) and Verus MC brace. At my speed lvl no significant understeer issue at all. I had two minor oversteer events easily corrected.
I agree I hope my understeer is not horrible but plan on doing the camber plates to help a bit. I can go softer if need be as well. I have a track day Saturday so we will see
Braking was the same gonna do a SRF exchange next but didn’t expect to notice anything under normal driving situations. I’m doing some minor modifications for the track. Sway bar, big big difference. I set it to the middle and With aggressive street driving there was like no body roll. Honestly...
Great illustrations!
When I said they don't match reality I was referring to the top illustration that shows a vehicle in a neutral stance with big gaps in the contact patch area due to camber.
Additionally, in terms of the cornering pic, you can see very clearly it matches reality save the...
Nope that is correct you are maxing contact patch, grip and tire wear just as the illustration shows. The only thing missing is the fact that the tire is not a rigid structure as in the illustration suggests. The effect is more of a subtle thing where the downward force on the tire are changed...
Sure but hoping I could rebalance with the adjustable Eibachs. The idea is to max out contact patch/grip (tire wear) and adjust balance with sway bars. I am seriorusly thinking about the verus camber plates for up front though the install looks straight forward and price is not bad.
I'll check out the camber plates. If it is not a major cost and I can do it I am not opposed. I am tracking the car this summer working on the driver. Back after a long hiatus. 4 track days so far. The dedicated track car is being rebuilt and won't be ready this season. Any plates you recommend?
