Ha ha! That's so true.
It's also hard to actually locate where rattles are coming from - not to mention it is no party to be crammed in the hatch of this car during troubleshooting.
What is surprising to me is I did not have any of these issues with my X3MC install. Could it be because I...
I actually removed the grills to take them out of the equation but will do that.
For the subwoofer enclosure, I was sticking my hand in it to see if I could find where it was coming from - will try the foam but it sounds (as best I can tell) like it is coming from the woofers or the plastic...
Thanks for posting! Very timely as I am getting some vibration from this area as well.
I also seem to be getting a vibration from inside the woofer enclosure itself. At first I thought it was the ports, but I removed the entire piece and it persisted.
There also seems to be some sort of...
I used it in my X3MC (hatch, not trunk) and have not ever experienced any odor.
Initially I was concerned it would smell like a freshly paved driveway on hot summer days when used in my previous E46 M3 (trunk) but there is no odor at all which I could smell. Same is true for the X3MC which has...
Thanks Tom - yes, that is how I figured it should be done (after doing it incorrectly lol).
Today we'll switch around the batting and tackle some of the other sound deadening (like the back piece).
Only part I'm missing is the self adhesive foam to block the underside of the (now ported) trim...
Doh! Me and g/f did this mod today and put the wadding in the wrong way! :nono:
It didn't make sense to me as I figured the port from the sub would be blocked but guess I read the directions wrong.
I wish I had read this post or further back as I just now read through every page.
We'll fix...
Another question. I found it on eBay but the seller is in Japan.
Does anyone know what import taxes I will have to pay?
I can’t seem to find a clear answer. It’s selling for about $220.
Thanks!
I searched and didn’t find anything.
Other than color, is there a preference between the two?
This would be for a 2021 which has the factory braces. I read a thread stating they were better over stock which I can believe because the OEMs are pretty wimpy.
I believe the major difference is the stainless steel backing plates. Though they do claim as “zero dust”
I’m looking for time to get them out of the to do pile and into the car.
I'm with you. I would be terrified to use an ONR on a dry vehicle.
I can see using them for cleaning door jams or under the hood but not the exterior paint.
The cap clip on the driver's side sun visor clip on the right side of the sun visor popped out (the one which holds the visor in place).
I can get it to line up, but the clip will not fully engage.
Nothing appears broken on the clip/cap and it seems lined up, but won't clip into place.
We...
That's what I was thinking but finding a perfectly level surface upon which to park would be challenging.
Most garages have a pitch that I've seen. Slight, but there.
And yes, I'm OCD...hang up those hand tools! :p
This sounds like the housing market increases when people are tempted to sell - still need a place to live.
If you have another car great, but if not you are subject to the same high prices.
If you plan to sell then now would be a great time. If no, I would think about it if you need a...
On BMWs, there is a plug underneath than can be unplugged when you blip the throttle to keep the valve open. There is also a plug blank sold to cover it.
I assume it is a similar procedure on the Supra but not sure about coding it.
