Same issue with mine - had to drive the front tires up on 2x12s which gave an extra 1.5" of clearance. That did the trick.

I installed the Z26 Extreme pads last night/this morning. I found the fronts were a real PITA to get out. On my X3MC, once I removed the pins the pads just slid out. On the Supra it seems the backing of the OEM pads was "fused" to the pistons of the caliper. Almost like they were glued in...

I'm still not getting this - how does a broken engine cover expose internal parts of the engine? (keep in mind the Supra in our fleet is not mine so I'm not as familiar with the engine compartment). Want to make sure I don't make the same mistake when I have to change the oil.

Makes perfect sense. The only concern I have with a x-over that high is it can muddy the sub and cause the sub amp to work harder reproducing mid-bass. From your posts, I'm sure you will tweak it to perfection :)
