All of the interior shots of the mule show a covered full interior. I don't think they would have bothered covering the interior if it was bare boned just like the GR Concept.
Reading more into this, $47k as a starting price for the 4 cylinder is not bad at all. I'm not familiar with BMW and their pricing/trims, but looking into KBB for the previous gen Z4 it started just above $50k for the 4 cylinder, $58k for the single turbo I6 and $67K for the twin turbo I6. If...
Makes me think about how manufacturers tune their ECUs. I can't imagine them stopping and flashing a new tune every few minutes. They must have the capability to tune it on the fly just like standalones. If only that is available on a production car that was aimed at tuners with an easily...
This is usually not as important on other platforms and people have been wondering too long about the power and engine specs but not many seem to care what it will be called.
Granted it is a "BMW" engine (Probably a B58 variant), but that didn't stop Toyota from naming the GT86 Engine when it...
80k Supra at 3800lbs with 500hp would put it on par with the R35 which wouldn't have been far fetched thanks to the MKIV and R34 rivalry.
We're just arguing for the sake of arguing, everyone knows Toyota will never do that at this point. To be honest the LC500 and the future LC-F were made for...
I guess that makes sense. From all the negativity regarding the MKV being co-developed with the Z4 and how it's usually phrased as a "rebadged Z4" I got the mentality that it used an existing Z4 chassis.
I need to see the MKV in person or at least it's final production form. From all the...
Exactly this. Why couldn't Toyota work on the RC/LC chassis like they did the Z4? Modify it and make it more rigid with a lower center of gravity. It's not like the Z4 had the perfect chassis when Toyota started working on it either.
Maybe it wouldn't have been the perfect track car the new MKV...
That's disappointing to say the least. Well hopefully this TT V8 doesn't get the same treatment as the LFA's V10 and finds its way to other (cheaper) platforms.
Sorry, I was talking about the pictures not whatever that article is saying. The engine I'm talking about is the rumored TT 4.0L V8 going into the LC-F with +600hp.
This is what you're looking for: https://www.motor1.com/news/258373/lexus-rc-f-gt-spied/
My guess is whatever engine is going into the LC-F will make it's way into this "RC-F GT". Probably what A70 is working on too.
Nope, IMO 7000 would be the bare minimum to consider an engine high revving. But he might actually mean that at high RPMs relative to the engine he's talking about. :dunno:
I don't think that torque rating is correct (~380 lb/ft). That's barely enough torque to be on par with the F-series engines which is uncommon but I've seen instances where manufacturers would rate them exactly or barely above the engines they're mated to. For example the AA81E in the ISF/RC-F...
I'd always go with a V8 over a 6 cylinder. Just imagine an M157 in a Supra with Toyota reliability. +700hp/tq with only a downpipe and a tune :flame: I do hate their farts while shifting though...
He was probably referring to the GR Racing Concept most likely using a V8, not one for production. A Supra with a Toyota V8 would be too perfect for the enthusiast to ever actually be put into production. If it was only Mercedes that Toyota made the Supra with...
