New parts in today. My wife is going to cut the clear cover for me tomorrow so that it can fit next to the AOS. I changed my order for the AMS DP over to the AA DP. AMS was on over for about 2 and a half months with them pushing back the date constantly. I'm sure it's not their fault, but after...
Systems with TPMs (trusted platform modules) are really difficult to break. There are some TPMs the have failsafes that activate as soon as they are tampered with. Usually this results in losing all the data and or stored keys.
We utilize HSMs (Hardware Security Modules) for our solutions that...
Paddle Shifters came in today so I went ahead and installed the steering wheel. Once I got it off the damn car it was pretty easy to swap everything over and reinstall.
Got the steering wheel and paddle shifters changed out today.
Wheel came from East Coast Supra (Took about 4 or 5 weeks)
Shifters came from Autotecknic
I did check a few when I initially installed and it was dry. I've been pushing the car pretty hard the last few days and decided to go check again just now. I dislodged the hoses and there is a super light coat of oil. I actually had to use a cotton swab to make sure my mind wasn't playing with...
It was an easy install. Both the AOS and auto drain system. Right now it's not doing much until I start increasing the power of the car. It's not really something you need unless your tracking the vehicle or increasing boost/performance. It does fill out the engine bay quite nicely too.
I loved the commercial... but it's a little disingenuous how they portray this car for enthusiasts when they don't really support enthusiasts.
Great marketing though.
Well... finally screwed something up working on my car. I stripped my stud on the strut mount of my coilovers. These are push in studs, so I can just hammer it out... but I can' seem to find a good replacement. RS-R wants to charge me $48 for the 1 stud. $3 for the stud and $45 for shipping lol...
My wife finished modding the MST intake box to properly fit next to the Verus AOS. The strut braces are off getting powder coated and they should be done by this week or next. The new engine and ECU covers should be in tomorrow as well. I will be installing the steering wheel either this weekend...
Decided to polish all the bare aluminum in the car today. Here's a before and after with the Verus caps. The before picture is when I got them in the mail. They looked pretty good already. Now they shine.
BEFORE
AFTER:
You can send them a message about powder coating. They do charge a fee as well. Just let them know and they will send you a customized invoice.
Yeah. I'm trying to not use so much carbon fiber in the interior. I also love the feel and grippiness of a full Alcantara steering wheel. Only other...
Finally got cleared by my significant other to work on my own car lol.
Started out the morning like this:
And just finished. Sounds amazing:
Installed:
Verus Heat Shield
Verus AOS
Verus automatic drain kit
AMS Charge pipe
MST Inlet Pipe
MST Intake
I've got to modify the cover for the...
I used an applicator pad and some Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish. It takes a good bit of work, but it comes off. I'm sure there are better ways to it.
I tried my buffer, but the corners of tips were destroying my pads. I'm sure there some different pads you could use with a buffer that won't...
I did something that some people might find unforgiveable. I removed the thermal oxidation from my Remark titanium tips.
I left some darkening on the very end. I kind of like the way it looks.
You might want to see if the ride height sensor is in the correct orientation or if the ride height sensor bracket is broken.
You can also see the plastic bracket in this picture. If it's broken, Visconti makes an aluminum version.
