Just wanted to update people here on my dealings with Velocity Motorworks of Raleigh, NC.
I went to another mechanic in my area, Tioga over at Automotive Solutions, and he was able to diagnose everything wrong with the car. The rattling from the rear suspension was from loose hardware on BOTH...
I had the same issue. The performance shop I went to, Velocity Motorworks in Raleigh, NC, put my rear ride height sensor arm upside down... as well as some other shit that I had to get fixed elsewhere.
I do not recommend taking your Supra to them if you're in the area.
Has anyone had any issues with the airbag when after doing a steering wheel installation after. I'm thinking about doing it myself. I have watched a few videos already, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any issues after plugging everything back up.
Got the ECS steering wheel today. I went with a minimalist look. Full Alcantara with A91 stitching. The most important thing is that it no longer feels like I'm holding the steering wheel from a U-Haul truck.
Found a place with a wide variety of sizes that are fabricated in polyurethane. Bad thing is some of them have a decent amount of lead time since the factory is in Australia.

I recently purchased a set of coilovers and the rear coil spring seats are too thin. The shop recommends getting a thicker set to have more height adjustability. Are there any companies out there that specialize in this? I've been searching for more than an hour now. I've seen some things, but I...
Exhaust arrived.
I'm trying to hit 650 whp reliably and safely. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle fueling yet. I also want to keep OEM like functionality. In terms of aesthetics, I'm going for a Japanese/German muscle car. We'll see.
It's going to take a while. Next focus will be body...
Exhaust just arrived.
I think it was less than $4K. It is a hybrid (built in port injection, Intercooler, etc) product. I'm sure there will be cheaper options out there eventually. I'm thinking the mod for the oil filter will be here before I even finish with the car.
I'll reach out to them...
Carbon fiber
That's not always true. Just because they come from the same factory doesn't mean they were fabricated the same way. There are multiple factories that get contracted to make the same design. Some go with epoxy or polyurethane. Some do pure carbon fiber and some do CFRP. There's...
Finally got the manifold in as well as the SPL Front LCAs:
Just as a heads up. The intake manifold will block your ability to get to the oil filter, but they have a mod on the way for that.
Finally got the manifold in as well as the SPL Front LCAs:
The logo is from Titanium Works. It's not mounted, so if it's off it's because I placed it there without measuring.

Usually if it's not an item made by the original manufacturer or their performance division, you will never get perfect fitment and/or perfect pieces. Every body shop I've been to points that fact out. The reason TRD pieces are so expensive is because of all the engineering that goes into them...
It's not about where they come from, but how they are manufactured. You commission a company to create the product to a certain standard. That same manufacturing plant will then manufacture their own product using cheaper materials/lower standards, but utilize the same design.
You got:

I recently had a package full of Verus goodies get dropped off at the door. A full cap set, AOS with auto drain kit, and the 6 port heat shield. Thanks to Eric there for getting some of these pieces in raw aluminum for my color scheme.
Thanks. I hope that he learns to run his business a little better.
I'm working with a great mechanic now. I just need to find a reliable body shop in the area and I'll be ready to go. I may have to venture further out for one.
