The heat shield for the 6 port should be on their website tomorrow. I just snagged one this week. If you want one keep an eye out. The demand for it is high.
I'm slowly building my car from the suspensions to the drivetrain then finally to the engine/turbo. Hopefully by the time I reach the engine, there is something available. But if comes down to it, then I'm hoping Motec's solution is ready to go... But damn they are expensive.
That is the...
That's fine. I just wanted to put this in a public domain in case it can help anyone else that has sour business dealings with them in the future.
But you're right. I should have put this somewhere else and not here in this thread. I'll get this fixed later today.
Currently working with a new shop that will meet the vision of the project. We will see how this goes.
So I wanted to leave this here about dealing with Velocity Motorworks.
Yeah. I already ordered the bracket from Visconti and have it in my possession. I JUST got off the phone with them and they said it took them 6 hours to do the coilovers and ride height adjustment.
I told them numerous times not to slam the car and that I did not want the wheels tucking. But...
Dent was repaired to perfection, but was about $270... Oh well. Make sure to always inspect your car before pulling out of any shop. Lesson learned.
It took less than 20 minutes... Dent Dominator for those in the Raleigh area.
I was also wondering if anyone thinks this sounds right.
To have...
Just found a slight dent on my driver side rear quarter panel. I noticed it when wiping the car down. :( Hopefully it's not crazy expensive to repair. It's a very minor dent and isn't noticeable until you see the reflection distort around it.
I got this message today with my new RSR coilovers. The shop thought that it could possibly be too low. After reading this thread I'm going to go ahead and buy Visconti's solution. I think that this may be the issue.
I'll be getting mine painted Nocturnal Black. Probably not going to be the best example, but at least you'll be able to get an idea of it not being a contrasting piece.
Wing is in. It will be customized to fit with the A91 spoiler. Some people think this wing is played out, but I love it. Jon Sibal did an amazing job on the design. There will be some things that we will try in case the "gap" issue arises with these. There's an awesome in house fabricator at...
The car is still at the shop. Rear is going to be raised a bit. Here's a better look at the brakes and suspension work. I love the MRG stud conversion. I can't wait to see them on the SSR SP1s.
Here's a close up of the brakes and new coilovers. The car is still at the shop. The rear will be raised and it might transition straight into some body work. I might not get it back for a bit.
We are going to cut it, but make it look nice. We've already got a few ideas.
Velocity Motorsports sent some pictures over today. Ride height is still being adjusted. It was raining when I took it over so it's a little dirty. The silver accents are turning out to be a good call for my own...
It's a one off for right now. I'm sure eventually Toyota will release a GT3000 kit out to the public like they did for the MKIV. Once it's released, you'll probably see more affordable versions of the kit from other companies. Much like we've seen with the current TRD lip kit.
