Haven't had to mount the camera yet myself but that C-clamp looks like it will do the job for what you need. I personally would jsut go with 3M tape and a standard mount. If you need to remove it, a heat gun / hair dryer and about 2 minutes if all you need to do so.

Ordered the HeatShield one from Amazon. Ordered HeatShield for my last two cars and they have been great. The only downside is the Supra visors are too small to even reach the windshield area haha. It still holds up well though...

Haven't tried it. Why not just try laying down a thick towel on the base? --Also, for the crease in your hellcat, did you try a bit of heat from a heat gun to see if the crease went away?
