  1. 275 tires and 18x11 vs 18x10 wheel fitment on stock shocks

Undoubtedly. On my autox car I specifically lower actual throttle plate opening vs requested to make it easier to drive. The driver of the tuned Supra mentioned it was an off the shelf tune that was more in line with what you reference as being "hot boi". Even with something not optimal the...
  2. 275 tires and 18x11 vs 18x10 wheel fitment on stock shocks

I've had some conversations about the 275/35/18 vs 295/35/18 vs 305/30/19 71RS and the general consensus is the 295/35/18 seems to put power down the best by far. The 275/35/18's I used had trouble in 3rd gear corners (Pitt Race T5 and T17), but the 295/35/18 would hold fine on another tuned...
  3. 275 tires and 18x11 vs 18x10 wheel fitment on stock shocks

I run an 18x10.5 +35 and 275/35/18 or 275/40/18 on my car. With a 15mm spacer it makes my effective offset +20 and doesn't rub inbound or outbound lowered on H&R springs with -3.4 camber up front. An 11 would likely rub as Bryan mentioned and would definitely require changes to the spring...
  4. Official RENAISSANCE RED 2.0 Supra Club Thread

A little oppo lock fun at another track night.
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Got the free picture back from CMP Track Night. I chuckled since I went in knowing these tires didn't have a ton of life left, but the photog got a pic of me drifting T1, a small bit of tire smoke, and two black lines. While over exposed, it's still a good pic :)
  6. Best exhaust systems in the market??

I have the Borla Atak with stock dp. Sounds good. With the valve closed it's very slightly louder than stock with no drone on the freeway. With the valve open it's a good note with good volume.
  7. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I have a lot of tracks close by (in US terms). Within 4 hours is CMP, AMP, Road Atlanta, VIR, Roebling, and CMS. Going to 5 hours includes Barber and the FIRM. But the reality is most in the US have to drive/tow reasonably long distances to get to a track. Very few tracks (outside of VIR)...
  8. Oil temp - Hidden Menu vs Bimmelink

Oil temp in the sump is usually lower than in the engine by a few degrees, although with it covered by the undertray it should be close. Oil temp in the head "should" be the highest as the oil has now traveled through the engine. Oil temp inside where you can't really measure it well is where...
  9. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

If it wasn't a 9 hour tow I'd go again also. I really wanted to crack the 1:54's.
  10. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Pretty gutted for the Steel Cities Region and everyone who enjoyed the track. I was glad to go there one last time a few weeks ago.
  11. Cool me down to take another round

Having done the heater method in the south east...I would also choose life. Maybe in winter with the vents pointing out the open windows. I had a Miata a long time ago that had some issues and it would slowly overheat on track unless the heat was on (or it was below 80 degrees outside)...
  12. Cool me down to take another round

I've looked at the intake snorkel print stuff in passing. Did you find or design one that works?
  13. Cool me down to take another round

I would imagine in Dubai it's not dissimilar in terms of tires falling off unless it's some super high heat hard compound. Even myself on the stock cooling system run out of tire before I run out of intake temp capacity (on the stock tune). I think I'm more interested in a yes/no on if my...
  14. Cool me down to take another round

What was the temp delta before and after the fan install? Did it allow you to do more hot laps in a row, or did you still take a cool down lap at the same general point?
  15. T-56 Swap

Are people breaking the transmission after the clutch swap? What type of racing also matters.
  16. Cool me down to take another round

If you're running at the limit of cooling I would expect to see (assuming the track has enough slow sections) very small cooling benefits during a session. I would not expect to see it having appreciable impacts on lap times. The hood vent in your profile pic will help the fan work, but the...
  17. Cool me down to take another round

I agree as having the hood open with a water sprayer on the front stack would greatly outweigh the fan. The fan wouldn't hurt though.
  18. Lets see those 18" wheel setups!

I picked the 18x10.5 TSW wheel from TireRack since it was cheap enough for track wheels. 275/35/18 71RS tires all around.
  19. Fuel pump control electronics, internal fault error at track day

If you're getting the FPC over temp range 2 error, then pull the panels in the trunk to uncover the box that houses the FPC. Leave the hatch open between sessions and it "should" cool off enough. If you're still getting it you can try the print option I created and posted earlier in here. I...
  20. Cool me down to take another round

The design of the fan blades does come into play along with motor power. That said, as vehicle speed increases most vehicles do turn the fans off. The Supra has the highest speed I've seen in a vehicle at 75 mph for full off and most others (that I've seen) are like 50ish mph. It would reduce...
