Careful when removing the mirrors to free the caps, I broke the passenger side one ?. Somehow it was harder to get my fingers in there than the driver side. Doubled the cost of the caps.

Buy used parts, Members Marketplace perhaps.

I had the car fully PPF’d before adding any parts and adding PPF to every new part isn’t really ideal for me. I’m going in the ceramic route but want to hear what others are doing and what products are being used for maintenance.

Any issues with the suspension signal cancelers? Been looking into either these or the RS-R EDC canceller to run with the 500 series. Do the FA coilovers have a specific mounting point to mate with the FA Signal cancellers?

I didn’t even know anything like this existed. Been researching EDC canceller’s as I already have their coilovers but haven’t got to installing them. This seems like a good option.

Can you keep us updated on the removal/install. I’d like to do this also but there are no DIY’s that I know of and not sure if a sensor might be triggered.

I took mine to the dealership as it wasn’t going away, turns out it was water that got in there so was not covered by warranty. Stealership got me but my tint guy agreed to help with the bill.

I’m Looking into the M style mirror caps, is there a better vendor as far as fitment/quality for those who got them?

@A91CULater Did you unplug something in the passenger door when it happened? Wondering if it has nothing to do with moisture getting in there and just something triggered by unplugging it maybe

I made an appointment to take it into the dealership, the car is still under warranty so hoping it’s a not a big deal. I did however make a few minor non related BimmerCode changes, I’m wondering if I should put everything back to normal, I’m not sure if they will void my warranty

Well this sheds a lot of light. No wonder I was having a hard time liking this clutch, gotta do this soon. Is it just me or does the clutch also need a lot of travel to engage? Feels like I gotta go way in there especially when reversing.
