Placed an order for a set of HKS Hipermax for my Supra nearly 6 months ago.. still not here. HKS keeps delaying the shipment. Hopefully these don't suffer the same fate.
Ironically, I recently had a few interested parties from UAE and Oman contact me about selling my current MKIV TT 6sp. The demand is starting to become more global as the supply of clean LHD TT 6sp cars continues to decline.
One aspect to note is that when you get down to the cream of the crop MKIV production numbers, ei. LHD TT 6sp, are a whole lot smaller at roughly 4,000. Though this has less to do with the success topic and more looking at it from the enthusiast perspective.
There's plenty of people who "whine and bitch" about anything other than the V160 or A340 in the MKIV, including myself. Hell, as good of a transmission it is, I still don't even like the fact that the Getrag is German.
So what does that make you... a MKV jerk off peasant? You haven't said anything positive about the MKIV community, yet if it wasn't for it, this new car wouldn't even exist. Put your big boy pants on and treat everyone how you want to be treated.
If Apple can slap their name on a $30 phone and have people line up to pay $1000 for it, then why not. Not saying it will be a dud in sales either, but lets wait and see how it does in the open market. Hopefully the high spec version with manual transmission is not far away.
The MKIV also had the optional TRD steering wheel. In leather and CF.
That said, I think the above steering wheel for the MKV looks ok. Its not too bad.
