  1. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

What about manual parking brake? The Supra has e-brake. The Honda CRZ had both depending on years. Manual transmission and manual parking brake: Automatic transmission and electronic parking brake:
  2. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

The only reason it is more interesting to build anything on a new car, is because of better more solid chassis. This, engine optimization thanks to better calibration/development tech, and fit and finish are the only areas where newer cars are better than old. All the rest is useless gimmick.
  3. Should Toyota Supra keep FT-1 2+2 configuration? Or lose backseats?

Stumbled upon this: To bad they can't do the same today, so that both 2 seats and 2+2 can folks can choose what they prefer. But when it is a SUV/CUV, there are all possible versions, 5 seats or 7 seats, from every brand, and yet they all s*ck. PS: No, not all possible versions, no more 2...
  4. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

If you WANT a manual, the perfect auto will never be a manual. Now if you are ok with a very good manual, then you have nothing to worry. If dual clutch is being dropped, it is because autos are now nearly just as fast, an imperceptible difference for driver.
  5. All-new 2023 Nissan Z makes world debut!

Could be interesting. Will Infiniti used their V6 or the superior Daimler I6? Would this car be based on a new SLC coupe? I have a problem, because German cars are not that bad, but their badges have become repulsive.
  6. Petition To Toyota For Manual Transmission.

Most people are not interested in this car. When they will see it and want to like it, they'll find lame excuses like the lack of manual, while months ago they bought a pseudo-SUV pseudo van that can't go off-road, has cramped third row seats with high floor luggage space, FWD based AWD and...
  7. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Officially Revealed!

Experts are not gods, just humans with some knowledge and experience, but not the only ones, and they also make mistakes, thereby wrong, be it intentional or not.
  8. Petition To Toyota For Manual Transmission.

While the petition is for manual transmission, what about manual handbrake? For for me a manual transmission also needs a manual handbrake. Automatic parking brake is for automatic transmission. I don't like new Porsche with manual transmission but automatic parking brake. Lexus did it almost...
  9. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

I personally see no difference between AUT, DCT and CVT, as long as it is driven in automatic. How good each is depends on how it is programmed. The issue I personally have with automatic, is that manual mode just does not work for me, I am not able to use it as well as a true manual. Paddle...
  10. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

If that happens, BMW will make their own Z4 Coupe. I guess they have already done it, just as Toyota has done its Supra Roadster in case.
  11. Why I Think Everyone is Wrong About the MKV (Video)

After thinking over, the Supra will not disappoint and will very likely the best road sportscar money can buy. I think every person has his/her definition of the best sportscar, but unless you are Horacio Pagani, Christian von Koenigsegg, Mate Rimac, James Glickenhaus, Michael Stoschek or Henrik...
  12. Toyota Supra Interior Looking More Production in Latest Sighting

So Supra will get BMW keyfob with Toyota logo? Or it will get Toyota keyfob?
  13. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

A great example of how important static distribution is, because the 718 is much better than the 911.
  14. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Well, there goes the transaxle. 50/50 is not ideal as BMW tries to sell it, but rear biased is better. The Supra will not be that different from the TVR in concept. A Supra with LC500 engine and manual? This could be the Z4 M Coupe with S65 that BMW never built.
  15. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

http://www.mazworx.com/store/p/208-Mazworx-2JZ-Billet-Aluminum-Block.aspx I do not know what is worse: no manual or Toyota exterior with BMW side view mirrors, door handles and whole interior? I mean, can you imagine this interior with a Toyota badge on the steering wheel? Me not...
  16. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

More than that, the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept does not reveal anything about the production Supra other than the name, for which a simple press release some months ago would be sufficient. So even after Geneva 2018, we know nothing more about the Supra than we knew since the first light...
  17. "THE LEGEND RETURNS" - Toyota Tweets the "Supra" will be shown at Geneva

You can rewatch livestream in the first post of this thread. Just click 'watch again' and advance to 15 min. BMW door handles.
  18. Supra Concept Appears In Geneva, VIDEO !

The teaser did not indicate if the race version was GT4 or GT3 type. If it was GT4, it would be like production car with wing. But this will be GT3, so much further from production.
  19. "THE LEGEND RETURNS" - Toyota Tweets the "Supra" will be shown at Geneva

It is recorded on livestream. You can watch it later. The countdown is wrong it seems. Stream begins in exactly a bit less than 12 hours since this post. In other words, tomorrow morning when I wake up. Countdown shows 26 hours.
  20. The Rumor Thread - 2017 debut of the Supra and more details

If Dave is wrong, there might be some hope for the new Land Cruiser.
