I’m sure it’s an easy fix. The only thing Toyota isn’t telling us is how hard it is to work with BMW on the fixes. I’ve been seeing a bunch of rumors on Facebook or other places with how Toyota had to buy engines to test or that BMW wasn’t 100% on board until their cars started having similar...
I mean to add to your point of the “feeling” a manual gives you, Toyota/Lexus have stated before that they try to make the auto high performance cars shift like manuals for feel. (LFA, ISF, RCF, GSF) They feel like it enhances driver engagement while benefiting from the speed of autos. Downside...
Yeah but most people getting into a RCF know that for the most part. Supra leans more on sport where the RCF leans more GT. They both have their place and both are great in their own way.
Man, Gordon Murray made his magnum opus for sure. Everything he did is based off of driver involvement and the use of your senses. I’m sure Jay Leno will try to snag one ?
The “F” products always had a special place in my heart. Dad had a SC400 and a ISF. I’ve always loved Supras too and told myself I’m getting one of those beasts.
I'm cross shopping the Supra with an RCF or IS500 (have kids). Only thing I'm waiting for is the 2022 announcement and mainly how Toyota handles some of the first year growing pains. A manual would be amazing but we'll see. Like others have said on other threads, with these delays happening and...
There’s one guy in particular that comments on every MKV post negatively like a kid. Lmao. Then when someone is like “why are you acting like this?” A swarm of them will jump in on them ?
They always say “we know more about the MKIV then you’ll ever know.”
The funniest thread I ever saw was when they were talking about how some higher ups at Toyota shared their disdain for that forum.
They started insulting Toyota for not realizing that that forum had the most “loyal” fanbase. ???
Not personally but when I when use to hover around the forums I saw the little cat fights on there. I decided to officially join this forum because it was a healthy community. ?
Man, Yamaha almost made a mid engined, affordable sports car (Literally like a modern MR2) then just canned it last second. Just listen to the sound. Yamaha is like that athletic kid that can destroy you if they tried but chooses to play piano.
There’s a couple threads already but most people assume there will be little changes, some want a manual. Pretty much it. Hopefully they figure out the oil/electronic issues that are plaguing some cars.
Right, I live in Washington as well. Even though it’s the weirdest state as far as rules and regs, a lot of state officials I’ve talked to LOVE automobiles (I live in Olympia) some of them roll around in old 70s Oldsmobile’s and things. Lmao. The governor just follows trends.
I think it would be cheaper on premium/base models but the dealers will try to play games. It’s also very possible that there would rarely be a manual Supra sitting on a lot.
I’ve actually talked to Mark (SavageGeese) on a couple occasions. Really nice guy and a true enthusiast.
I also asked him why he thought the Supra needed a manual before and he pretty much said the car is great as a whole but he personally wished it had more character similar to Lexus products...
