I love manual, Supra would be fun with one, kind of why I’ve been on the fence buying one. But after driving them I admit the auto is good.
Manual is a backroad driving pastime. It has its place. If they don’t offer one by the end of next year I’ll end up getting a 3.0 premium with the ZF anyways.
“You almost had me? You never had me.....you never had your car. Granny shifting, not double clutching like you should.”
Sorry I had to. Lol
All jokes aside, people who’ve been to the track in high horsepower cars know that autos allow you to concentrate more on other things while being faster.
Tail lights honestly look like they’ll be changed in a refresh. Haha. After Toyota/Subaru looked at what the aftermarket was doing, the first thing they changed was the lights and the front bumper. Overall though, I like the more mature design.
If it’s any help my friend has a 2019 Z4 and says it’s the most reliable BMW he’s ever had (huge Bimmer guy) already has 38k to 40k miles on it with absolutely no issues. So as far as the hiccup the 21 Supra has, I’m sure it will get fixed eventually for 2022. If you don’t want to wait that...
It seems like this is so hard for some people to understand. Nobody is invincible when it comes to producing cars. Some do better in reliability obviously but EVEN THEN mistakes can happen. Considering this car is still new people just need to let Toyota work out the kinks. First 3 or so years...
I mean the Z has always been a Mustang alternative in my opinion (being that the original was inspired by one) it’ll do alright. I’m just happy we get to see stuff like this with the whole EV craze.
Yep, a lot of the friends I have in Japan love cars but they say similar things. I will say their car community isn’t as toxic as it is in the states (they are usually pretty accepting of new cars like the MKV Supra).
On a side note, If you guys watch Drift King Television on YouTube Keiichi has...
The last line in that Carscoops article stating that “a Subaru/Toyota hatch could be the promised hatch to the U.S.” bothers me. Imagine after Toyota building a highly praised hatch, completely in house, they sell us a Subie hatch.
This actually seems pretty plausible. Did you bring it up to a Toyota tech? Seems like something they would try to look at, maybe they (Toyota) could even call BMW to verify
A lot of the European journalists either don’t like it (Chris Harris) or talk about it from a subjective POV. Well that’s from the videos I’ve seen.
