I agree with you on this, I remember listening to a Smoking Tire podcast episode right before his 2021 review. He was actually speaking highly of the Supra and didn't understand the hate, got barley any views. Then in his 2021 review all he kept saying was its a BMW and not a Supra.

I mean that could be true too. I think there’s a lot of variables since they are working with BMW.

From what I’ve heard, Tetsuya Tada and his team were testing manual variants of the Supra, but durability was a concern at first. So maybe they’re just taking their time making sure the manual was up to the task.
