I discovered there were two major sources that caused my doors to rattle. After spending a few hours tapping on the panel, I discovered a rattle coming from my tweeter speaker mounting point and the location where the outer layer of the door (layer wrapped in "leather") and the inner plastic...
Is it strange that I would want a manual car of some sort as a daily driver? lol. If Honda S2000s weren't through the roof, I would buy one as a daily driver.
I'm going to try my best to swap for a MT. I have a '20 A90 right now, and I miss having a manual car. Otherwise, selling my current A90 to get a M2 Comp w/ manual is going to be my path moving forward.
Well, I kind of got rid of the stock exhaust for this current car. =P
To be honest, I like this MBRP exhaust , but I would go a different route on a new car anyways.
I really want a manual car of some sort, but I've already invested a lot into my current Supra (ceramic coating, performance mods, tunes). I would take a huge loss of money, just to get in a manual Supra.
I know; I know: sunken cost fallacy....
Yeah, the valve system on this is effective. I think because of the "two pipe" design. It is well designed, for sure. The car completely transforms when in normal mode.
I can attest to the sound of the MBRP. When I first settled for it over the Borla ATAK, I was worried about the outcome (SpeedIndustry had stock issues with the Borla). However, I have gotten so many compliments on the sound of my car--even compared to other MKVs in my area. Granted, most of the...
I currently have the Eventuri intake, which is great from a functionality perspective. However, I really LOVE the sound of this Armaspeed intake. Would I see a significant increase in intake temperatures when swapping from Eventuri to Arma? Obviously, I mostly concerned with functionality, but...
Hey, all. I am wondering if anyone else here is running a setup similar to this without rubbing issues? After getting my DP and tune on, my wheels constantly break traction. That means I am looking for a new tire setup, and I thought it might be good to go ahead and move to an 18" setup in the...
Hey, all. I bought the Eventuri Intake from a friend second-hand for $600. However, I have discovered that the silicone coupler included from the factory was not given to me as part of the purchase. My friend looked, and he cannot seem to find it. As such, that leaves me needing to find a...
I believe him, as well. The trans looks so clean in the video he sent over to me. To be clear, I was not expecting a video. It seems the service department at my local Toyota has pretty good ratings? Anyways, I think I'm safe to have fun in my car now. lol.
So, the tech just sent me a video with his conclusion and the transmission housing looks bone dry. He said he did not hear anything that sounded abnormal to him either.
Realistically, this is only my second venture into an enthusiast automobile. Before this, I had a 6th Gen 1SS Camaro that seemed bulletproof. Most of my conclusion about issues with this car came based solely on deduction. I am really bummed that the car is having issues at 6k miles; buyer's...
Apparently, this specific ZF8 implementation is known the leak oil on the early year models of the Supra? :dunno: Unfortunately, I will have to wait day or two before hearing something back. Only having one tech "certified" to look at my car at the dealer definitely increases my wait time.
It seems to only come and go at higher RPMs. For example, if I put the car in manual mode and ride out a higher RPM in 2nd gear--the car continues to make the oscillating whining noise. The second I shift to a higher gear, the noise seems to just disappear completely.
This is the best, yet...
