  1. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

Not directly, I enabled the Sport Plus mode. That's the part that worries me the most. While I only tested it once, it was still enabled and activated on the car.
  2. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

Car is at the local Toyota dealer today, but I was told there is only one tech there certified to examine the Supras. Most likely, that means I will be waiting a few days before getting my car back with a result. I'm a bit concerned that they might nag at me about the Bimmercode ECU changes I made.
  3. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

Hey, all. I was able to capture a video where the noise is audible.--let me know what you all think!
  4. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

I am struggling to capture the sound on video--seems it is too faint. I have scheduled an appointment with dealer on Monday. Hopefully, they can get a good idea of what is going on.
  5. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

Going to crawl under the car soon to see if there is a transmission leak. Apparently, that is a common issue. If there is, the whirring/whining is pretty subtle--maybe a sealant/gasket replacement and top off of fluid will fix things. Fortunately, I am unmodded and only used BimmerCode; that...
  6. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

I will try to get a sound clip later when driving! I am really hoping it is not an issue with the car at all. I wonder if my local Toyota dealer does drive-in diagnostics.
  7. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

Are you being serious? Fuck…. I just bought this thing at 5800miles.
  8. Whirring/Whining Noise at High RPM

When downshifting and letting the revs start to fall—or perhaps even just at high RPMs—I hear a terrible whirring/whining noise coming from the car. It does not matter if the exhaust valves are opened or closed. My gut is telling me it might be the transmission. The car is a stock 2020 3.0...
  9. Just picked up my new Supra

Yeah, I am about to fork out a chunk of money for PPF and Ceramic Coating for my '20 with 5k miles on it. Learned the hard way after a SMALL limb brushed against my car on the highway--leaving a massive scuff on my front bumper. Now I am also hoping that a paint correctio can fix most of the...
  10. Lets see those 18" wheel setups!

Has anyone here noticed better ride quality after swapping to 18" wheel setup?
  11. New MK5 owner

I've also got my Titan Catless Downpipe sitting in the box waiting to be installed--along with lowering springs, MBRP catback, and Eventuri intake.
  12. New MK5 owner

Welcome to the family--absolute beauty. I am really hoping that my car will look this clean paint-wise after getting the paint correction and ceramic coating.
  13. Door Panels Falling Apart

Wow, $3500 for these door panels? The door panels are probably one of my largest complaints on this car; they creak and the switch gear in them rattles like crazy. Otherwise, this interior is a massive improvement over my 6th gen. Camaro SS.
  14. Who has highest mileage? / Supra miles

I'm in a similar boat. My car was purchased used with 3,800 miles; I also work from home and only go out for basic grocery runs/fun on weekends. I don't foresee accruing many miles per year on the car. EDIT: My ride is also a Nov '19 delivery.
  15. Lets see those 18" wheel setups!

Hey, all. Has anyone noticed a measurable difference in ride comfort around town with the larger sidewalls of an 18" wheel and tire setup when compared to stock wheels? I would like a setup that does not require spacers, and I also have H&R lowering springs to consider in the equation. I...
  16. Bad Idea to Not Address Brake Power Recall to Keep ECU Unlocked

My car is a pre-06/20 car. So, I would be able to receive the bench unlock after getting the recall work done.
  17. Bad Idea to Not Address Brake Power Recall to Keep ECU Unlocked

I actually have no mods on my car at this point, and I have made no changes to anything plugged into the car.
  18. Bad Idea to Not Address Brake Power Recall to Keep ECU Unlocked

Given how terrible my experience has been with my local Toyota has been so far, I am starting to think it's a better idea to avoid getting the recall work done. o_O
  19. Bad Idea to Not Address Brake Power Recall to Keep ECU Unlocked

Oh, yikes. That is terrifying. I've heard terrible things about my local Toyota, too.
