I own a 2015 BRZ and have never used my back seats. The fact that MKV is a liftback also makes it more usable for me than traditional trunk as well.

People are getting 400HP out of the lawnmower engine in the 86 platform. IF a factory turbo 4 is offered with a manual I can see that being a popular option for modders. It should be lighter, and even with the cost of mods, cheaper than the turbo I6 models.

It would be interesting to find out what dates those two pics were taken as that would let us know if they're different phases of development (earlier vs current) or possibly different trim level cars being tested together.

I'm with you. Lack of a manual is a deal breaker for me. Toyota will lose out on a lot of potential customers without one. I believe the take rate for manuals on the 86 platform was nearly 50%. I'm starting to lose faith in the direction this project is headed. Hopefully once the reveal happens...

Those prices are spot on where I think they should be but I have a feeling they're going to price gouge us by about $5 - $10k on both of those brackets.

I highly doubt they'd introduce a base Supra with less HP than the 205hp GT86. Even IF there is a turbo 4 cyl, I'm guessing 250hp at the least to distance itself from the little brother.

Will an "auto-manual" transmission similar to the GR HV sports concept eventually make it into the Supra as an option?

I don't care about the exterior which is pure concept car wackiness that would get toned way down for production. I'm mostly interested in the transmission. I actually like the idea if they could mate it to a DCT, that wasn't sequential, would allow me to select any gear I want, and skip gears...

I've been asking for years why no one has mated a DCT to a H gate shifter and now Toyota is going down that road. If the Supra's going to be "Auto" only hopefully something like the HV Sport auto-manual is an option. My left leg will be confused but at least my right arm will be occupied.
