@gymratter, This autonews time line would make more sense if they were talking model year not calendar year. I still think the car will come out in 2018 as a 2019 model, but who knows.
I don't think we'll see a traditional prius type "hybrid". If there are batteries they'll be used in a KERS type fashion and power the electric supercharger "hybrid" turbo they're patenting.
As far as the GT4 target goes I'm cool with it cuz a Cayman variant of some sort is the only other car...
First car was a MKII Celica Supra and Toyota/Subaru refuse to give me a more powerful BRZ. However, if the new Supra doesn't come with a true manual it'll be a deal breaker.
Definately has an 80's angular nose to it. For some reason it kinda reminds me of my MKII Celica-Supra. Not as sexy as the concept but I'd still rock it.
I really wanted to like the nose but I don't. The yellow one looks better to me. If the production FT-1 comes with the F1 style nose then that's the first thing I'll replace with aftermarket parts (and I bet I won't be the only one).
I really want to like it; the GT350 has the best looking treatment of the front grille on these new 6th gen mustangs.... but it's still way too heavy for me.
Rumors are the GT350 will start at ~$53k. Base C7 Corvette MSRP is $54k. If the FT1 is priced at $60k then the base C7 won't be a good enough target. Toyota would need to offer Z06 level performance for Stingray prices if they want to be successful. That's how Nissan started with the GTR and...
