it looks like a glancing accident and doesn't seem to be a basis to argue that the vehicle is safe in a side accident.
avoiding injury is all about distributing the deceleration forces over time. seems to me in a side accident, regardless of the air bags closeness, the brain will go swish...
there is a lot of interest in the c8. i would think this will reduce sales at least for a time as some people hesitate to make a purchase.
there is no experience with the c8 and i would expect it to have a lot of issues since its a new design for gm. but if your read peoples posts these...
I finally test drove a Supra. I was impressed upon by the closeness between my head and to the left side car top. Any thoughts on a side impact crash? I'm not sure a z4 comparison crash test applies at least for the convertible case.
I went to a dealer today and there are 3 sitting in the show room. They are even offering test drives. Sellers market is gone - now the issue is how much of a buyer's market is there.
as much as you see enthusiasts wanting a manual I could understand toyota avoiding selling one if there is no market for one. Looking to the s2000 (a manual), it did over 6000 sales per year USA market in most years. that indicates potential market for those who want a manual even though...

(4.5 days + 4 days + 40 minutes) / 3 =
2.8 days.
average weight time to wait for oil change is 2.8 days.
(increased times due to non-compliance with dealer no dash cams...
BMW has a reputation for plastic parts becoming brittle and failing.
Has this been addressed in the Toyota Supra or are brittle plastics something to expect as the car ages?

It looks like each dealer has one or two mechanics trained for servicing supra.
This would seem to indicate that when the vehicle is brought in for service or maintenance one a few of mechanics are trained to work on the vehicle. In contrast wiith a real toyota vehicle, there is a whole fleet...
sounds horrible. i was gunho for this car but all these stories like moisture in headlights and dealers using a shotgun approach to ordering parts for a repair are turning me off. If i'm going to blow this type of money on a car, i want it solid.
one site says bmw leather options:
Dakota/Nevada Leather
Used on most model’s base trims. This is a lower grade leather, usually corrected-grain or even created from the split, and coated with a synthetic polymer paint. Its surface is embossed with an artificial grain.
