You did both the Head Unit (Supra/Z4) and Body Domain Unit (Z4) coding?
I was actually wondering if it’s possible to code what you have - the options under sport individual program only. I don’t like that it cycles thru Sport Plus mode before Sport Individual on the fly.
High oil consumption was a common problem on the (non-turbo) N52, especially the B25 variant. Design shortcomings are well documented online. But with the generous official oil consumption tolerances listed by BMW, it’s a challenge to claim against the warranty.
I think its really personal preference. I don’t want the guard to be all pressed against the fender edge, so I’m happy that the primary contact points are minimized against it. My friend wanted to 3M tape the guard to his fender to avoid any sign of gap.
I’d say get some spare spacers handy...
Pick up some #10 stainless steel screws instead, much better match to the oem screw you are replacing. And won’t rust.
I find the provided standoffs good for the bottom 2 screws. A slightly taller one for the top screw would allow the guard to sit more flush with the fender line. But I’m not...
think the challenge would be how to get into Eco Pro, without a button. Our Sport button doesn't even toggle to Comfort Plus.
If we did enable Eco Pro, you'd probably have to also default your startup mode to Eco Pro in order to access it.
No, Comfort plus options aren't showing up under Sport Individual setup for me.
I think you are right - the last 2 attributes aren't needed for Comfort Plus, and are to enable options under Eco Pro Individual. I had a closer look at some codes in an F series list.
Now if we had Eco Pro modes...
The coding i followed was as per this post:
Coding Comfort Plus on M340i
BDC_Body3 > CAFD_7083 > ComfortWorldMode1 -> Change to: ComfortPlus
HU_MGU > CAFD_3E52 > FES_COMFORT_PLUS -> Change to: Active
HU_MGU > CAFD_3E52 > ECO_CONF_STEERING_COMFPLUS -> Change to: Active
HU_MGU > CAFD_3E52 >...
But why would you use LL01 on DI engines if you no longer have high sulphur concerns?
We use euro grade gas in my part of the world, and I make it a point to use LL04 spec oil in all my turbo DI BMWs. Reason being - Low SAPS.
Even when we were in the middle of moving to the lower sulphur fuel...
G20 owners have also done this coding, and report noticeable differences. As long as you can get your car to select the modes. Eg: we can’t access adaptive mode without setting it as the default start mode, cos we don’t have the button!
I think you missed out the full code changes for Comfort...
I didn’t think the suspension changes between the normal sub modes, but it felt more floaty over bad roads. I thought it might be my imagination.
The transmission setup is different for sure. I’m guessing steering is also different, since that’s a listed code change for Comfort plus. But I...
I’ve coded both Sport plus and Comfort plus . I can now access Sport plus as a non-configurable mode, and have the additional setting available under Sport individual for engine and transmission.
Sport button toggles between:
Sport plus
Sport individual
Normal (standard)
But I can only access...
Yes, it worked really well for stock screw removal. I should clarify - you’ll need a ratchet set that has an 8mm hex head socket. May not be so readily available, I got the last set from my local store.
Alternatively, a stubby ratchet + 1/4 socket worked well for a buddy of mine.
But if...
Looks like they are out of stock via the Amazon link. Otherwise, they come with a washer head
My kit from ZL1 included washers for the rear guards. Just didn’t need them anymore.
thanks for this tip. I ordered it and found the thread a closer match to the stock screw. Also made it easier to install without removing the wheels. I bought a ratchet tool that helped with the stock screw removal, but the access was already tight. With the positioned guard, the space is...
I deactivated ASD with Bimmercode, and immediately found the cabin so much quieter.
It’s now been about 2 months since and I’m starting to notice more road noise especially when going over badly paved roads. I used to drive a soft top, so Im not expecting a silent ride, but the tire noise can...
Could anyone advise if the passenger side knee pad also pulls right off? Borrowing @dazza’s pic, I’m referring to the below
from the Realoem diagram captures, it appears to be attached by a bolt/screw... if so, it’s attached to the carbon fiber trim?
there is an IND mod thread that mentions the G29 Z4 wheel is plug and play for the Supra. The function buttons on the G series are a better fit than the F series sport wheels.
Unfortunately there wasn’t much more info on that swap test. But I notice that the g series steering wheels are...
