Not all and there are big differences for anyone that is not blind. The Taurus, Focus and Fusion all have different grill shapes despite shared design language. The F150 and Escape are also totally distinct.
Lexus on the other hand has adopted the hourglass grill across the board even on the...
10% smaller still puts it well within the territory of other 2+2 cars. The FT-1 is a pretty large car. We all know functional backseats can be done with smaller cars a la FR-S etc.
Still a beautiful car for its time. I read comments online and a few criticisms are the FT1 is too stylized. I love it but I can see where they are coming from. The MKIV looked great while being pretty simple design wise. Addition by subtraction kind of thing..
Most spy photos you see are staged by the manufacturer in the sense that they only show u what they want to show. It's a form of marketing and generating hype.
Question is...does the next Supra really need it?
There are almost no domestic cars that get me excited. Not just because a lot of them are poor quality and pretty ugly but when youre talking Ford, Dodge, Chevy, those are high volume sellers that you see everywhere. I mean occasionally I'll spot a Viper and it's kinda cool to see but not like...
True but they also don't have a joint project deal with BMW. I'm surprised that so few exotics use carbon fiber tubs considering that there's now cars like the 4C and i3 with them and don't cost more than about $50k. Seems like it might be cheaper for some companies to use than others? I think...
The only thing we really know about what the Supra and BMW sports car will be sharing is some kind of shared platform but what about everything else - engine, suspension, tranmission, driving aids, technology, styling?
Personally I just want BMW's carbon fiber chassis and maybe suspension since...
I'd actually be surprised if the supra doesn't get a carbon tub. If a $40k i3 has it, then a $60k Supra should easily have one. Would be cool if they leave some of it exposed too just like on the i3/i8 and others cars like the Alfa 4c.
Agree that the base C7 is not good enough of an aspirational benchmark. Consider that the GT350 Mustang is said to have been benchmarked against the 911, Ferrari California, Z28. I'd expect right around this range... and in 2 years there will be a few newer and better cars to be benchmarked against.
Damn that's cheap for that performance level! A lot to pay for an American car for sure.
It's actually great that the Supra is still in development while all these great cars hit the market. Something to benchmark and price properly against should mean the car will as good if not better.
It's also a more polarizing design. Mass produced cars tend to be made to capture the most sales which means more mainstream. Sad but true. The FT-1 also will see this happen

Already hinted at recently. Straight from Tada san:
"There are many articles regarding another sports model from Toyota up higher from 86. I'm thinking convertible model will be on...
The car is pretty imrpessive I have to say. I read that they benchmarked it against some serious cars 911S, Ferrari California, etc
If I could get over the weight and the fact that it's still just a mustang I would consider it for performance alone.
It's really no wonder BMW decided to go in on a sports car platform development together. They think that the sports car market hey day is over and may never recover to its heights.
